hosts were very accommodating and helped us find our way around Kashmir. They recommended wonderful restaurants, shops and activities to do around Kashmir. we had a fantastic experience and will book again when we return in the future.

We stayed as a family with a kid. 1./ The location is really good. Away from the din and bustle of the Dal lake. Very serene and peaceful. 2./ In addition to the above, the boat is reachable by road as well. this is a massive plus as you don't have to pay shikaras every time you want to leave your boat or get to it. 3./ The staff looking after us was very good. Especially, Uman who was wonderful. 4./ Warm water wasn't a concern at all. Geyser in the toilet was a gift from heaven. 5./ The breakfast was sumptuous and the tea was beyond our expectations. Overall, an 8/10 experience. Would definitely recommend this place.

The owner Mr Shafi was most enterprising and cordial. He personally took care of my requirements since I had come down from a very long trek. The house boat is indeed very beautiful and well kept. The location of the house boat is also very nice just beside Shagufta Garden making it all the more pleasant

Nigeen Lake is quiet. The boat was comfortably furnished.

We can cope with heat. However, the temperature in the boat was unbearable and made our stay uncomfortable - more fans are needed especially in the double bedroom. Be warned….the owner may turn round to you and tell you he cannot take card payments. We had to go out and get cash - a pain. He gave me no advance warning of a problem. The booking clearly stated Visa etc accepted. He also asked for tax payments as we paid for our stay. He backed off when I told him I would call Booking.com.
