Not worth it

The location was very convenient for us, as it was close to my family, and the 2-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen, which worked well for traveling with our toddler.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses are very hard with metal springs that made it difficult to sleep, and the pillows were lumpy and uneven, filled with some kind of ball-like stuffing. I barely slept the first three nights, and this had a big impact on my overall experience. I politely asked the owner if we could cancel our last night and get a refund so we could move somewhere else to sleep properly, but he dismissed my concerns entirely. He insisted nothing was wrong with the beds, that no one else had complained, and refused to offer any kind of accommodation or refund. Booking.com also relayed my concerns, but the response remained the same.I understand that comfort can be subjective, but not being able to sleep for three nights, and then being dismissed rather than supported, was extremely disappointing. A 9.1 rating shouldn’t mean that legitimate concerns are ignored. Also there is no cleaning offered for 7 days / 6 nights stay.

Amazing, we stayed for 10 days in Red house apartment, and we are very satisfied. It is spacious and clean very well equipped. We are visiting Greece for many years but For the first time we found the kitchen with more than enough of dishes, plates, glasses… coffee machines, good working stove, big size refrigerator… in the cupboard we found salt, sugar, plastic glasses… Red house is perfect for family vacation, it is very close to the big sandy beach, in front of the apartment we have found sun umbrellas and sun beds that we used. Big pluses are the washing machine, AC in every room and toilet on the ground floor. George and Ana were very helpful and good hosts. For sure we will be back.

Everything was perfect. Georgeos was a graet host,very friendly. He gave us a lot of information about the place,where to eat,to shop,to travel. The house was clean,near to the beach and with a great sea view :)

Excellent

The location is perfect- in a quiet place, about 100 m from its privet beach, featured with a big umbrella, sun beds, small table and chairs. The house itself is really comfortable. Two bedrooms with comfortable beds; fully equipped kitchen, living room with a sofa and dining table and a big balcony with a table and chairs. The host is extremely hospitable, make you feel at home. Strongly recommend!

Much better than on pics

Very nice sea view from all balconies and from the rooms, steps from the sea and from restaurants. Supermarket is also walking distance. Great hosts! And this apartment has the biggest reserved umbrella on the beach-it is square and covers 3 sun-beds at once.

Short vacation exactly as expected

The house was very clean, spacious and the terrace with see view was nice bonus. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The beach is very close to the house, but bear in mind that its a free area and you need to bring your own shed. There is a good restaurant with huge terrace and see view very close and a number of others walking distance, however consider that there is no promenade along the beach.

Spacious nice house close to the beach

Big house with plenty of space and a nice view from both balconies. You get everything you need in the kitchen and there is air conditioning in every room. The house is very close to the beach and there are restaurants, tavernas, cafes and shops within walking distance. Gerakini is perfect for families with children since it isn't too crowded and not so full of tourists as other places. We expected to not get any cleaning during the stay since it was a house and not a hotel. You will get towels and of course bed sheets. We had great neighibours with whom we got along nicely. The beach is clean, the sand is fine and the water is clear and clean. Snorkeling was one of our favourite activity during our stay.

The facility was according to our expectations. The beach is good but we missed a longer boardwalk along the seaside. There is a possibility to walk either on the beach or through the town and get to a alleyway by the beach further away with a nice beach bar and a tavern.

Die Lage ist perfekt, ca. 300 Meter vom Strand entfernt, sehr ruhig, mit großer Auswahl an Außerhausverpflegung, mehrere kleine Geschäfte fußläufig erreichbar, die Eigentümer sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und die Eigentümer stellen auch Strandausrüstung (3 Liegen, 1 Stuhl, 2 Sonnenschirme und eine Schubkarre zum Transport der o.g. Ausrüstung zum Strand) zur Verfügung. Auch der Hausmeister/Gärtner Thodoris fragte uns fast täglich, ob wir noch etwas brauchten und pflückte mehrmals frische Feigen vom Baum für uns.

Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen, ein paar kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge wären aber nicht verkehrt: ein großer Spiegel (ca. 2 Meter hoch) im Erdgeschoss an der Wand rechts neben der Treppe ist für Damen zwingend erforderlich. Auch phosphoreszierende antirutsch-Aufkleber für die Treppe wären hilfreich, da die Stufen aus Marmor sind und bei Nässe sehr rutschig sind.
