Rye Court Cottage

This is my second visit and I’ve not wanted to leave either time. It’s so busy and rustic and perfect for me and my doggy. Very quiet and warm and relaxing with great walks nearby!

It’s a little bit of a shame you can’t directly access walking routes from the cottage without walking along a main road but it was no problem for me to drive. There are great walks within a mile.

The photos don’t do this wonderful place justice. I’m guessing it’s a converted barn and it retains original features and lovely beams. It’s has a wonderful relaxed, slightly rustic feel. Really comfy bed and great garden for my doggy. Plus the incredible walks we kept discovering nearby and great pubs! Hosts were lovely and even brought fresh flowers one day. I really didn’t want to leave! Really looking forward to coming back.

Lovely well proportioned and set out place. The secure garden was lovely the dogs were happy. We loved sitting in the porch watching the birds. Finding the local safe paths towards East noor was a bonus.

Not much to be honest. Shower was low power but bath worked lovely. Were def going back!

Bed was very comfy. Nice little enclosed garden.

No contact from the host at all. We found the keys by chance. Cottage is sweet, but very dark due to shrubs growing close to windows and blocking out the light. No units in the kitchen, just shelves with curtains. Saucepans were dirty/chipped. Grouting round bath/shower and basin stained/grubby. Towels had bleach marks on them. Remote control for vcr was very grubby, didn't want to touch it! Have since read reviews where host has said if there was a problem he should have been contacted, but we had no response when we tried.
