The staff were very helpful

Like many large hotels we stayed in in Indonesia the food at breakfast was generally tepid which was a shame because it looked lovely and there was a lot of choice

Strategic location, relatively close to city centre but relatively a quiet area. Breakfast is great.

I prefer a firmer bed.

I had a great stay at 101 Malang OJ. The location was excellent, with plenty of food options nearby, making it very convenient to explore the area. The hotel’s restaurant was also a highlight—the food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The staff were fantastic throughout my stay, always friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers a gym and pool, which is a nice bonus, although I didn’t get the chance to use them this time.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I was apparently "guest of the day". The entire staff knocked on our door with a beer and some cake as a token of thanks. It was a nice gesture. The location was great as it was across from a really great cafe.

I had requested extra towels. They went out of their way to tell me when I checked 8n that it wasn't a problem and the towels were in my room. They weren't. I asked again and they brought them promptly. Also, one of the cleaning staff left a dirty cloth in the room from the previous clean. The lack of little details were disappointing. Also when we checked in we were starving as we got in late that evening. The restaurant was closed as they were hosting sporting teams for a volleyball tournament. Disappointing.
