The apartment is like a cave it's behind another apartment and built into the hillside so there is little natural sunlight. This can of course be an advantage when the weather is hot. The cave doesn't need air conditioning, it does have air con but no handset to turn it on but as I said we didn't need it. There is also a large ceiling fan which is very effective should you need it. The cave has no balcony but it does have a largish area with bench, new chairs and an ancient table. This area is also mainly in the shade which is good no umbrella required. It also has a great view of the mountain opposite.

The property did not meet our expectations mainly because it looked nothing like the Booking.com pictures of a top floor flat with a balcony and views of the sea! We had pre paid and nothing else was available so the cave it had to be for the next three nights. Although the apartment had been recently revamped the lower kitchen cupboards smelt badly of damp. The socket for the hot plate didn't work so an extension lead was provided which also provided you with a great trip hazard trailing across the kitchen floor. The shower curtain was too short so a shower meant flooding the bathroom floor. This was the most expensive apartment of our stay in Samos. If the pictures had been truthful and the price more reasonable maybe then our expectations would of been met.

We had very nice room, with the sea view and opposite side mountains
