A characteristic room in a lovely location

It’s in a good location, near to the cathedral, with a selection of places to eat nearby. The room is well equipped and comfortable. I didn’t meet the host, however he did leave instructions on how to access the room.

The wifi didn’t quite work for me and I had to resort to 4g.

Stunning apartment

It is a beautiful apartment in a very tastefully restored historic townhouse right in the centre of the tranquil and elegant medieval acropolis of Laon. Excellent facilities for self-catering.

Lovely, memorable, quiet.

We liked the quirkiness of the apartment, its original style in the heart of the city is a great bonus. We loved the common areas and the proximity to all the main landmarks of Laon.

Appartments with a lot of character next to the cathedral

Loads of character, next to the city center. We could see the cathedral from our appartment.

The sink and shower were a bit awkard to manipulate and there were no instructions. We could not lock our appartment. In the night we've got up by a tiny mouse trying to eat the food we left on the kitchen bench. There were no instructions about the rubbish.

Good location

Really lovely area, in a quiet part of the town, which was still well connected to the centre. Sadly the town had just suffered a fire so it was very difficult to judge as some parts of the street/s were inaccessible. We'd like to return at some point to discover more, as it felt more of a stopover town with closed shops and very quiet, but still beautiful.

Amazing stay at a beautiful place!

The whole property was amazing! An amazing convent renovation. We booked the family room in the attic of the building. It did not disappoint! The open living space was beautiful! The bathroom unique! And the children's bedroom was really lovely. I would definitely will be back!

Good studio in great location, let down by a couple of points

Small studio in a great location in the centre of Laon, which is a lovely place to visit. Parking could be tricky, but we found space nearby. Small kitchenette with crockery, coffee machine, microwave (although no sharp knife!). Bathroom is just made private via a curtain (so not romantic!) and no shower curtain which was a pity. It was a good spot for a one-night stay though, and we appreciated the check-out at 12pm, meaning we had time for a walk around the city before heading off.

No bathroom door, only a curtain, and no shower curtain. Kitchenette is reasonably equipped, but not for any kind of cooking (no sharp knife, wooden spoon, kitchen paper). No bathroom toiletries provided (I haven't checked whether these were listed).

Quirky place in good location.

Quirky place with plenty of character and lots of space. Excellent location for the cathedral and ramparts. Nice to have fridge and kitchenette.

We were fine but the stairs were very uneven and would be very difficult for anyone with less than full mobility. WiFi was not brilliant - probably because we were on the 2nd floor. Plenty of parking is available in the area but prepared to walk from wherever you park to the rooms.

Beautiful building

Roof apartment was over 30c at midnight. No windows just roof vents. No fans, asked about possibility and just got a shrug of the shoulders. After 2 hrs sleep on night 1 cancelled second night, no refund offered. It was truly not possible to spend any time or sleep due to the heat. Not very clean in kitchen, half a pound of old raw mince left in there.

we understood from the website there was parking at the property which there was not. very poor Wi-Fi with no instruction about networks. although supposedly dog-friendly it was very impractical for dogs and the host was not welcoming of dogs. the very small outside space was not available to us or the dogs. a fan should be provided when it is hot.

Perfect little bolt hole for two!

The property was in a good location for the centre of Laon but was quiet and secluded. The space was well furnished and comfortable. The bed had crisp, clean linen and there were fresh towels in the bathroom, plenty of hot water as well. I liked the individuality of the room and the security of a key code entrance. The host was very welcoming and helpful. I loved the courtyard garden too.

It would have been useful to have soap provided in the bathroom and perhaps a little milk in the fridge for cups of tea. Everything else was perfect.

Really cosy, warm and comfortable apartment well designed with open plan kitchen and shower area. Very close to the cathedral and a selection of shops and restaurants. We were lucky to find a parking space just around the corner but there is no parking at the property.
