The hotel is nicely located and having the benefits of the 24 hours reception, with a very friendly staff behind the counter.
The room is well equipped, with a classic hotel-room setting, and the location is walkway distance from the train station.
The hotel is old, and the air felt definitely damp and unpleasant. The older reviews mention smell of cigarettes, which wasn't present in the room, so they obviously tried to improve the air quality.
I have seen room cleaning every day, but even as a very easy-going guest, I had difficulties to feel comfortable. The bed and bedding was clean, but the room could definitely use some deep cleaning, I even found leftover used plastic utensils in the drawer, and the toilet was leaking on the side too.
When you book a room and the pictures show a small window covered with curtains, that won't necessary mean that it is window with sunlight, as mine was blocked from sunlight.
