Manolis was incredibly kind. He picked us up from the harbor and showed us all the way to the apartment. He made sure we had everything we needed, including some food for breakfast, a nice bottle of wine in the fridge, and several additional amenities that were not included in the offer. I really appreciated his kindness and hospitality. He also checked on us regularly and was always there to help. Whenever something wasn’t working, such as the internet connection, he quickly found a solution. We truly enjoyed having him as our host. The area is beautiful, beach was great and having a beautiful hotel and tavern really close by was a great advantage. Also a walking distance to the harbor was a nice walk, especially at night. I generally liked better staying in this area of the island although I was initially sceptic about the location.

I would have appreciated a few more towels (but also, I didn’t ask), and the water in the in-door shower was not always warm-most of the time, it was cold. But outdoor shower had plenty of warm water always so I couldn’t complain!

Stunning location, only a short walk to a beautiful beach and two excellent restaurants, four if you’re prepared to walk a little further. Chora, the island’s breathtaking “capital” is a 3km walk away, or 10 minutes by sea taxi (€10 Euros for a return ticket).

Wir wurden von Manolis an der Fähre empfangen und fuhren gemeinsam mit dem Wassertaxi zum Anleger unterhalb der Unterkunft. Ein paar Minuten Fußmarsch zur Unterkunft und wir standen fasziniert davor. Ein wunderschönes Häuschen und mit viel Liebe innen und aussen eingerichtet. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt. Alles was benötigt wird, war vorhanden. Manolis ist ein herzensguter Mensch. Freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Eine wundervolle Unterkunft auf einer autofreien Insel. Auf der Terasse hört man nur Vogelgezwitscher. Manolis met us at the ferry and we took a water taxi together to the dock below the accommodation. A short walk later, we stood before it, captivated. A beautiful little house, furnished inside and out with great attention to detail. The refrigerator was stocked. Everything we needed was there. Manolis is a truly kind person. Friendly, courteous, and helpful. A wonderful place to stay on a car-free island. All you hear on the terrace is birdsong.

The garden was breathtaking - a perfect opportunity to relax in nature surrounded by plants, flowers and some beautiful tortoise friends. The mules ran past at sunset one night and it was truly like something out of a film. There is an outdoor shower which is a great experience to shower with a view and feel grounded in nature. Manolis was the perfect host, he left a welcome pack of many food items, wine and ouzo, gave us vouchers for the dinner and sunbeds which we were not expecting, and was generally just very open and friendly. Although the location is quite remote, we stayed for 8 nights and our favourite restaurant was genuinely the one a 3 minute walk away! And another one (Marinas) is only 10 minutes and was some of the friendliest service on the island - authentic food with unbeatable views.
