Relaxing cottage stay with surrounding farm animals.

Lovely remote countryside place to stay. The part we stayed in was attached to the main farmhouse and was a very relaxing and cosy place. It had excellent facilities including a log burner, and lots of farm animals nearby which were all very cute. The farm staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location, warm and cosy

Really cosy which is just what you need after a day on the mountain. Nice touch to have tea and coffee making stuff, milk, eggs etc.

The signage could be better around the farmyard as arrived at night and struggled to find the accommodation

Excellent, highly recommend & would re-visit

Excellent accomodation, beautiful spot to stay, lovely views, scenery, quiet & peaceful - & good location for going out & about- Room was gorgeous, clean, comfy, brilliant facilities. Highly recommend and would def stay here again. Microwave, fridge, air fryer, hob, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery - well kitted out, like a home from a home, little sofa & table & chairs - so has everything you need. The farm milk & eggs was a lovely touch.

accomodation was amazing, only criticism is the shower was really weak - like showering in a weak trickle but got the job done, room was quite cold which i was suprised about it was end of June but i am sensitive to the cold. Bed was warm & comfy though

We would return to explore more.

The location was beautiful and we walked each day on a different route from the property, with many walks still to explore. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean and all that we needed, with a few extra additions in the fridge such as milk and juice. The little area outside to sit was enjoyed. Louise, the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful about walks, roads to use and local places to try. She always made time for a chat. We very much enjoyed Thirlmere, not an area we had previously spent much time exploring. Thank you Louise for helping our son to organise this for our silver wedding anniversary.

We knew we were staying on a working farm but the sounds of daily farming life did not bother us at all. The only disturbance were the farm dogs who do bark during the night and are loud enough to wake you. If this will bother you, do not stay at the property. If you like having chickens, guinea fowl, goats, sheep, horses and donkeys close by, this is the stay for you.

Really comfortable and enjoyable in every way.

We stayed in the annexe. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Cereals, milk and yogurt were provided in the fridge. It was very useful to have space to prepare our own meals or eat takeaways. The location was beautiful and very convenient for access to Keswick and walking routes.

The shower pressure was a bit low. Eating off the coffee table was a bit awkward but manageable.

Come and go as you please with your own front door. We liked the isolation.. The host was lovely. Breakfast was what you would expect from a farmhouse.

Perfect b&b!

Had a lovely stay at Stybeck farm, no complaints at all. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location, on a working farm so an authentic Lake District experience. Owners were lovely and very accommodating and friendly. Bus stop right outside to take you to Keswick or Grasmere etc and it’s close to the start of the trek to Helvellyn or around Thirlmere lake. Would recommend to anyone!

Perfect. Everything we needed including milk in the fridge. The best part absolutely no network available. Wifi was there if needed and worked well. Location is very good and it’s a working farm so be prepared for that.

Leaving you wanting more.

The location is excellent with access to transport right at the end of the lane. You can connect to all all areas of the lakes. The staff are welcoming and adaptable to your needs. The breakfast is delicious giving you all you need to take a walk around the lakes or if you prefer; to hit the high country, and the famous Cumbrian fells.

I have no dislikes to say about Stybeck farm.
