A beautiful place and Rizea was fantastic and very helpful
There was a function in the garden and part off the hotel, we felt our Saturday was a bit wasted as it wasn’t as private.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, and a good‑sized swimming pool set in a beautiful enclosed garden. The lawns are lovely, the internet connection is reliable, and the toiletries are a nice touch. Tea and coffee making facilities were very convenient in the room. Free enclosed parking was a bonus. The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants and small shops. The historic building is gorgeous and well appointed, and the spa experience was truly enjoyable.
Plug points in the room for charging devices were not easily accessible. The cupboards needed a more thorough dusting, including the area under the bathroom sinks. Despite noting gluten‑free requirements in the booking — and returning for a second stay a week later — this was not catered for.
