A diamond in the rough

Staff were very accommodating. Beautiful views across the lake to North Macedonia. Breakfast was generous and tasty.

Entry to hotel once through construction site and crumpled buildings. Bigger sign post on street would have been good

A great Getaway

We had such a pleasant stay at Hotel Victoria. The facility and the views were incredible, as well as the lovely staff! Breakfast was also 10/10. Thank you!

Lovely well run hotel in a stunning lakeside location.

Beautiful lakeside location. The view across the lake to the mountains sometimes draped in clouds is wonderful and as good as anything you can see in the Swiss Riviera. Lovely family run hotel, clean, peaceful and a relaxing place to have a few drinks at the bar after a busy day exploring the natural beauty of Albania. Everything was great.

Others have commented on the pot holed track leading from the main road to the hotel. It's a feature not a problem. Just drive with care and you will be fine. Generally the roads in Albania are very good,but side roads in towns can have pot holes.

Pretty Place on the Lake

Friendly English speaking owner with beautiful location just outside the town, sunbeds on the lake and huge terrace outside the room. Generous breakfast. Newly renovated bathroom and elegant on premises restaurant.

The glass enclosure for the shower hadn’t been installed yet, making it hard to keep water from the shower from going everywhere, but this shouldn’t be a problem much longer. Older furniture wasn’t as elegant as in the photos. But overall, a very nice stay.

The hotel is a hidden gem that justifies a slight detour.

This is a hidden gem in the Ohrid lake area. Rooms with breathtaking views. The nicest of people are running the hotel. Fantastic value for money. Don’t skip breakfast or dinner - it’s worth every penny. Worth the detour.

The views are spectacular, the proximity to the lake is amazing. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. The dining area is fabulous with an open aspect and view over the lake.

I would have liked a kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room. The owner was friendly and helpful, but it was a one man show. The room was large so a comfy chair or somewhere to sit and read a book would have been useful or rugs to soften the look/noise on the floor boards. There did not appear to be a lounge or anywhere to sit and relax, unless outside.

Just amazing

The room was really big and comfy. The view from the balcony was so relaxing. The owner was very kind and did everything for us to have a great time. Good and delicious food. Will visit again for sure.

A stunning, special lakeside hotel. Perfect for a relaxing and tranquil stay by Lake Ohrid.

A stunning lakeside location. You wouldn’t realise this from the approach on the main road, but it’s a little bit of paradise once you reach the lake edge. It’s a lovely hotel, very relaxing and tranquil. The hotel is directly on the lake side, out of town but easily reachable to Pogradec if you have a car. We were there a couple of nights and the food was delicious, excellent value. The bar area was beautiful, lots of effort made to make this a lovely retreat. We travelled around to Ohrid on the North Macedonian side and realised what a lovely, quiet spot we had.

Not much to dislike. The owners are lovely people, and gave us great information about the area. Breakfast was delicious, although it would be nice to have a variety as we were there for a few days. It would be helpful to offer beach towels.

Perfect vacation, relaxing stay

Great location with wonderfull views right on the lake, very friendly hosts who speak perfect English, private beach and beach beds, the 'house' swans Nice bar and restaurant

We had the oldest room who had a very small bathroom. The other rooms had bigger and better equipped bathrooms

Brilliant

Lovely hotel owners, big rooms with great river sider views. Great bar and restaurant in hotels. Easy parking space and wonderful town to stay. We had our best holidays accommodation ever in this hotels. Free breakfast every days including orange juice, coffee, milk, honey, figs, fresh breads, sausages, omelettes, feta cheese and salads. Everything taste organic and hotels come with lots of sun beds.

Beautiful setting on the lakeside

Amazing hotel and couple that run it, if there was anything to fault it would’ve been the shower that’s not closed and one has water all over the bathroom but other than that the food and hospitality was top notch.

Great first stop in Pogradec with the best views and good room.

Big comfy bed and spacious hot shower. AC to heat the room. Big balcony with 270 degree lake & mountain views. Private drive and parking. Bar available late night & helpful staff.

Little bit far from town and not much luck with taxi. Luckily the hotel sorted us out from their end personally.
