This is what you would call a Bukowski style hotel, salt of the earth working class Ukrainians of all different types, not seedy, just gritty and the ladies who keep the place are sweethearts. I got sick from jet lag, manager came to my room, gave me medication. I couldn't speak Ukrainian, one of the ladies took me on the bus, paid for my fare and took me to the store to get a phone. Restaurant is authentic Ukrainian working class food, made with love. And at the end of my 7 day stay they are all in the lobby waving goodbye to me, so much love right in the middle of Corona Virus crack down.
