Giaco's Rooms

The room was very spacious, spotless, and had a nice balcony, which was perfect for having breakfast. There's an excellent pasticceria just around the corner, making it easy to pick up fresh pastries and coffee in the morning. A thoughtful detail was the high-quality beach umbrella provided in the room. Villasimius can be quite windy, and this was a sturdy umbrella—not one of the cheap ones you often buy on holiday—which came in handy on several days. The host was very welcoming and shared a list of restaurant recommendations before our stay. We have friends living in Cagliari, and their suggestions matched almost exactly, which gave us confidence. Every restaurant we tried from the list was excellent. While Villasimius is generally more expensive than other parts of Sardinia, we felt this accommodation offered very good value for money.

Whenever we entered the room, there was a rather intense smell. It wasn't unpleasant, but we couldn't figure out where it came from.

The location is close to the town centre

The property did not offer breakfast "for security reasons due to covid"...The price for a similar property with no breakfast is way too expensive. The price should have been lower considering that no breakfast was offered. The owner claims that this property is a guest house, not a B&B. However on Booking.com it clearly shows as B&B. As per Italian law a B&B must offer breakfast. A friend of mine stayed at a better place and had breakfast included for a cheaper price. Also, there was hair in the shower, the shower drain was blocked for the whole stay and there was a lot of dust on the bed frame. The bed was cleaned after I complained but the rest of the things that I mentioned stayed the same. I regret having cancelled a reservation for a hotel that costed a bit more but was completely worth the money. A B&B with no breakfast cannot cost almost like a 4 star boutique hotel with breakfast and room with balcony. I am sorry but would not recommend this place.
