Casa da Reina

Spectacular winery right in the Camino. Lovely family. Took great care of me. The home is immaculate and the ground make you never want to leave. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed!!

The most beautiful property, an old farm from the 1700’s renovated into lovely suites. A perfect pool, outdoor kitchen, several outdoor lounging areas and lifesize chess. Breakfast was filling and delicious and our hostess took time to share her language and details of her home. All right on the Camino!

Behind those beautiful green gates hides a true little jewel. 🥰 Casa da Reina is a place that feels truly blessed by nature and by the love and care of its wonderful host, Cecília. The hosts have transformed this beautiful property into a true peaceful haven, surrounded by fruit trees, flowers, vines and a splendid swimming pool… and so much more that you simply have to discover for yourself. Everywhere you look, there is something special. The thoughtful choice of unique furniture and décor pieces, scattered throughout the property, makes you feel as though you are wandering through a beautiful, intimate museum: except this is a museum you can actually live in. We stayed in the Verão room, which was spacious, serene, beautifully comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed to feel at home almost immediately. There is a certain peace here that is difficult to put into words. The moment you arrive, you somehow slow down, breathe deeper, and simply are. 🌿 And if you worry that such tranquility means being far from everything, don’t! The beach, wonderful restaurants, activities, and beautiful places to explore are all nearby. It really is the perfect balance between a peaceful retreat and discovering the beauty of Viana do Castelo and the surrounding North of Portugal. The North is known for the warmth, hospitality and sincerity of its people and Cecília embodies all of that and then some. Her generosity, attention, and love for this place can be felt in every little detail. We understand that Casa da Reina is almost always fully booked and we feel incredibly grateful that we happened to find availability when we did. What a gift it was to spend such a wonderful time here.
