Wonderful place to stay

Beautiful view from the balcony. Bed was very comfortable and room was spacious for a King Studio with high ceilings. Laundry room with ironing facilities was a boon. Kitchenette was good. Swimming pool was a bonus. Lovely garden. Room had Air Con but not necessary with opening balcony doors - weather was pretty hot during our stay.

Shower was on the small side and limited toiletries for a 7 night stay.

Wonderful host of a property with a stunning terrace in a charming Chianti town!

This was absolutely an amazing experience. San Donato is so charming and the people are so welcoming. We went to the coop, pharmacy, cafe, restaurants and shops! This is an easy location to drive and experience nearby Chianti towns. Giada was the wonderful host and communicated readily anytime we needed anything via WhatsApp. She gave us a tour of the property with its garden and pool. The terrace to our apartment was spectacular! We enjoyed relaxing there and enjoying the views. The property was clean with nice A/c and Wi-Fi. The kitchen was well stocked and we went to the coop and bought some local items and actually cooked a home meal one evening so we could stay and enjoy the views. Giada gave some great tips on nearby restaurants and places to go in the region. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home and hope to be back someday!

Wish we were still there !

What a stunning and charming place. So peaceful and Giada was such a lovely lady - nothing was too much trouble and so friendly. She was right there if you needed her and quietly away when you didn't. San Donato and its residents are also so delightful. We whiled away a few hours drinking with the amazing locals in the village bar, ate superb food in the pizzeria and the restaurant and just adored everything. The apartment was so well equipped and clean and the view unmatchable - the sunsets were phenomenal and the grounds beautiful. There really is nothing like sitting on your private terrace sipping a cool glass of local wine surrounded by lemon trees and watching the world go by (quietly) over the hills beyond. La Compagnia del Chianti exceeded every possible expectation we had - Giada was amazing and we can't wait to go back - it's a little bit of heaven.

Truthfully - we wouldn't change a thing.

We liked everything about the property. It was so confortable and felt like home. The pool area is amazing. I was hoping to swim but it was April and didn't get warm enough for me. The whole property is lovingly cared for and our hostess Giada was so helpful and friendly. San Donato is a very clean and beautiful town. The property is within walking distance to everything that you need- restaurants, shops, grocery. It really was a great spot to stay in and it was easy to get to other towns and villages in the area. We had a car and there was private parking right in front of the front gate.

A perfect spot in on the edge of a medieval Tuscan village

It was perfect! A beautiful studio apartment; delightful, comfortable and every need catered for. The garden, the pool and the location are memorable. As for the hosts, Giarda and her family, I cannot speak more highly. Problem solvers for needy travellers, even though this is NOT their job 🙏🙏🙏

Superb

Great spacious and cool apartment in a perfect location for travelling around Tuscany. Giada was a friendly and helpful host, along with her family made us feel very welcome. The apartment was quiet and peaceful and we had a huge terrace we could enjoy, with beautiful views of rolling hills and vineyards. There are laundry facilities on site which was great as we were with our 10 month old. We had requested a cot for him too, which was a proper cot all set up for him when we arrived (I was expecting a fold out travel cot so this was a lovely surprise!) The air con is great but we only needed it a couple of times as the apartment stays nice and cool. There are a couple of nice restaurants in walking distance, as well as a small supermarket. Vineyards and other bigger towns with more restaurants, bars, gelato only a short drive away.

Everything was perfect. My son and daughter and her boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Facilities were perfect, everything was clean and the whole building was beautiful. Giada was so helpful and made the stay so easy and even helped with organising taxis during our stay. The little village of San Donato in Poggio was charming and warm. A perfect stay!

It’s proximity to the beautiful village of San Danto with three lovely restaurants makes this the perfect location.

We would have liked a balcony with a view but we didn’t specifically ask for that when booking so we’ll know better next time .

a beautiful spot in quiet San Donato, we were there for a wedding at Le Filigare so it worked very well. the pool was lovely and clean, rooms had everything you needed and beautiful, spacious decor. The owner was super attentive, we got there too early for check in and she didn’t make a fuss despite how busy she was. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

Giada was the perfect host! Nothing was too much and our studio apartment was more than kitted out for our needs with some personal touches a long the way. The location is slightly off the beaten track behind the residential houses in the rustic town. The views you gain from it being here are spectacular. Breakfast on our little balcony was a dream. Thank you so much for our mini break maybe extra special but this host and property xx

Defintely recommend

Giada is the perfect hostess and makes you feel very welcoming. She provides you with all kind of tips about the area and no question is too much for her. The studio had everything you need, was very clean and the shower was very good (always warm water). Supermarket at 200 metres and close to freeway with access to Firenze and Siena. Wifi in room and swimming pool worked perfectly.

Everything! It was quiet which was great. We loved the pool. Everything was very clean and in good condition. Nothing was missing. We also liked that there was a washing machine. The owners were so nice and helpful. And last but not least: San Donato is a beautiful village. The surroundings are great and also perfect for biking.

The cleaness of the appartment was above expectation. It was possible to place the road bike inside the garage which is securred with a key. The appartment was overcomplete. The location is between Florenz and Sienna and there are a lot of opportunities to discover the region either by road bike, scotter or car. There is an own parking space just infront of the appartment.

Fantastiskt lugnt läge med närheten till byn och korta avstånd till fina ställen i Chianti.

Vi älskade lägenhet superior med dess fantastiska terass med underbar utsikt och alla fina citronträd. Lägenheten var fullt utrustad och väldigt fin. Härlig pool. Vår värd Giada var otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam med tips.

Limpeza impecável, mais bonito que nas fotos, mobiliário de boa qualidade, cama boa, muito espaçoso. Piscina muito boa para umas tardes bem passadas.

Apenas as melgas estragaram um pouco o sossego na piscina. Convém comprar repelente. Mas tem farmácia e supermercado que dá para ir a pé.

La propreté, la literie confortable, la possibilité de tout faire à pied aux alentours, l’emplacement central entre Florence et sienne, sans oublier l’hôte Gioda très gentille et disponible et qui parle parfaitement français

Presque rien, juste une mauvaise insonorisation dû au fait que nous étions à l’entrée du bâtiment et certains frais facturés en supplément (équipement bébé, lave linge…)

Pace e relax nel Chianti!

Struttura immersa nella natura, il posto ideale se cercate pace e relax. La nostra camera era fantastica, al primo piano con uno splendido balconcino dove abbiamo potuto fare colazioni e aperitivi con una vista della valle circostante. Molto carina anche la piscina con le postazioni con ombrelloni e lettini, insomma qui troverete tutto il necessario per una vacanza all’insegna del relax! Grazie a Giada per l’accoglienza, torneremo sicuramente a trovarti!

Il condizionatore della camera non era molto efficiente e ci impiegava parecchio per raffreddare la stanza.
