They could have done with a decent coffee machine in room

Breakfast was delicious 😋 Each morning a little different homemade yoghurt, fruits, French toast and preserves were beautifully presented on the gorgeous outdoor terrace

There was nothing not to like. We LOVED everything about this beautiful place. From the minute we arrived with their warm and friendly greetings to leaving and being waved off in our taxi… the whole experience was absolutely perfect and we shall most certainly be back. Le Clos d'Argenson was only opened this year, in the last few months, and it was one of the highlights of our 3-week trip to France/Spain. We stayed 3 nights in early June 2026. Location is great, there is a small amount of parking at the back if it is free, alternatively, an underground carpark, totally safe, opposite the house - I think 15-euro a day (important to know as we were not 100% sure till we got there. You can pull up outside the house and park for free for 15 mins while you drop bags off). The whole house/garden/suite/pool area is gorgeous. Estelle and Pascal (owners) are fabulous! Young, vibrant, nice, friendly, helpful - breakfast was great and changes daily, you can get a drink on the terrace from them, have a chat, meet other people. We rented bikes which they organised for us, and we cycled through lots of the fab vineyards (Pécharmant is a wine appellation produced in Bergerac and is a delicious red) and down by the river. We did a half day which was great fun and worth doing. Bergerac itself is charming, has lots to see and do, we ate in some lovely restaurants - our favourite was the "proper" Italian 10 doors up from the house - fantastic value and great food. We also ate in le Table d'Marche - very good. We highly recommend Bergerac, we have been to Sarlat which is a great place to go once, whereas Bergerac you could go to more often - that is the best way to describe it. We bought some lovely wine on our cycling tour and picked it up the next day when leaving - we will definitely return!

Nothing - everything was better than expected!

Pascal and Estelle considering only recently purchased the business are wonderful hosts , warm ,friendly, just the right touch of interaction , advice , help and giving you space , just lovely people . The main house is delightful with many period features and decor befitting such a grand property the other building where we stayed alongside the swimming pool is also impressive The site unassuming from the street gated entrance is a tranquil haven within ,lovely mature gardens , very clean pool . We had some personal issues prior to arriving which they did their best to assist with , much appreciated. Our room by the pool had beautiful art , quality mattress and bedding, the toiletries provided were all quality Nuxe brand which we love . Good WiFi anywhere we used indoor and outdoor . Breakfast was lovely sitting on 1st floor balcony .

Nothing to note . I did ask if a fridge in our room Pascal pointed only a guest house , fair enough . My only thing I didn’t like was that we’re only passing through following a family wedding , wish could have stayed for a few more days to totally unwind .
