This is a great place to stay in Monemvasia! The rooms are beautiful and unique with good lighting, comfortable beds, patios, daily room cleaning and it is close to the main gate and restaurants. Kyria Despina is a wonderful host and makes this accommodation highly recommended. There is also a shared guest patio that overlooks the water with no obstructions. Wonderful!! Book your stay and you won’t be disappointed. We stayed in the Superior Suite and it is a lovely suite.

The proprietor was so friendly and helpful - we absolutely adored her! She went out of her way to do everything she could to make us comfortable and happy during our stay. The hotel itself is a piece of history and work of art. It is a former palace and governor's estate. Our room was one of the most beautiful during our trip to Greece. The views from the deck offer a spectacular panoramic view of the sea and medieval buildings that fill the castle walls. This was a magical place to stay in Monemvasia. We loved everything about this hotel and more. We would highly recommend to any one who wishes to visit the castle and stay inside its walls.

Beautiful suite (even better than the photos!), very comfy bed, prime location 2 mins from Portelo beach and close to tavernas etc. Despina was an extremely welcoming host, offering water as soon as we arrived and even offering an upgrade because someone had cancelled. Will have to come for longer next time, but this was a great night’s stay!
