Great woodlands. Many magnificent trees.courtyard outside cafe was very nice with a very good display of flowers.
Car parking payment machines didn’t work but staff assisted with payment. Staff not often around.
I didn’t like seeing far too many car park payment signs along the driveway. Very ugly and uneccessary. Also intimidating. Although the car park company neglect to maintain the payment machines they are probably very vigilant in fining innocent guests who have problems with the payment machines.

What a fabulous location. To be able to wander around the estate with our little dog was wonderful. The little cottage in the Courtyard was comfortable and it was all so quiet. The staff went over and above to make sure our stay was the best, and the breakfast in the coffee shop was top-notch.
Maybe one day, the rooms will be equipped with televisions. That would make it all just perfect!

The setting was stunning, the breakfast exceptional. Decor is a little worn - just mending broken bath/sink plug chains would create a better impression for minimal cost and trouble.
I loved it all - but I'm not posh and some people are. It's worth doing the easy things to impress them.

Beautiful looking building and groubds
Twin beds, mattresses were paper thin, no TV, no hot water for a bath. Breakfast we were told we weren't expected. Bathroom was an awkward size and really out of date
