We were pleasantly surprised how good everything was and could relax in the bar after a long day out

A place of beauty on the moors

The situation and view were magnificent, right on the moors. The place was rustic in the most charming way. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Waking up and being able to walk on the mist-shrouded moors and come face to face with a few cows was a wonderful experience.

It was a very enjoyable stay and we were able to relax in the bar with a drink at the end of the day

Bed was extremely comfortable, view from the room was so interesting, with sheep, lambs and cows roaming around and the breakfast was something to look forward to as it was so good, with all tastes catered for.

Really friendly staff, felt very at home there. Lovely food in the restaurant too

One of our rooms had been refurbished and had wooden floor - great for dogs! The other room was carpet which was less ideal for a dog friendly place. Otherwise can't complain. Worth a trip for sure!

Amazing location, fantastic, friendly and helpful staff, perfect family stay!

The location is beautiful! The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! The views from the bell tent were amazing! The bathrooms were very clean and the shower was lovely, powerful and hot! The cooked breakfast was scrumptious!

I can’t really say anything negative but if I had to; when the rain was really heavy during the night the tent is so noisy!

Excellent hotel, dog friendly

Booked last minute and travelled for work. Loved the location, amazing views and really chilled. Great that they allow dogs which is great for my wife who doesn't want to leave the furry member of the family behind. Had an excellent breakfast which set us up for the day. Room was really nice and comfortable and wished we could have stayed longer.

The grounds were beautiful and such good outdoor space for the kids to explore. Loved sitting out in the decking, the food was excellent and she staff were all so lovely. Exceeded my expectations and I will come back here for sure! 😁

Breakfast could do with being a bit earlier. 9 is a bit late for most families planning to head out for the day. But that’s all.

Hobbit huts, location, Pub, Restaurant and the surrounding area, top that with Owners and staff at the top of their game and it makes for a Magical Glamping experience. If you’re looking for Mayfair comfort in the Countryside forget it, this is how Glamping should be…

Wonderful weekend in an amazing place

Everything. The pods were exactly as described and had everything we needed for a 'cheating' camping trip. The location was incredible. The staff were all really lovely and helpful. There was a band on in the evening and it was so much fun and a lovely atmosphere. My 12yo daughter absolutely loved it too. She went off on walks and relaxed and barely looked at her phone. I'll definitely be coming back!

Charlotte gave us a warm welcome and talked us throught the facilities. We loved the 'cosy' feel of the camping pod. Lovely wooded location and perfect for our overnight stay.

Not clear about no cooked breakfast , but there was a buffet (crumpets, cereal etc) which was £9.95 pp - thought this was quite dear. But there is a farm shop at end of drive, unfortunately the food & staff were disappointing.

Very comfortable bed, good full breakfast in the hotel / pub. Great location on the hilltop with panoramic views and a lovely terrace.

Although it is called glamping, it is really a hut with a bed in the hotel grounds; facilities are more or less like a campsite (just a toilet/shower block). Expensive for what you get.

The only thing I would add to the Pods would be a mini-fridge, to save bringing my own along.
