You can’t beat the location. You walk right out into the old part of Santiago. The building is also very old and seems fitting as a place to stay in such an old city compared to more modern offerings. The staff were very nice.
It’s a little pricey. But if you factor in the taxis that you’ll need to take if you stay farther out of town, it probably evens out.

This establishment is literally just around the corner from the Cathedral. It was very clean and very quiet. The checkin process was quick and easy. There is a gelato counter on the ground floor, you literally check in at an ice cream shop. We stayed in a double room with a private bath. We were very satisfied with our stay.
We chose this hotel because it said it had air-conditioned rooms, and it was supposed to be 92(F) degrees in Santiago the date of our stay.. we were worried about being too hot at night. The room did have a mini split AC, but it didn't work. It would come on, then turn off again in 5 seconds with an error code. Fortunately, the temp in Santiago that evening was cool enough that we didn't get too hot/uncomfortable at night.
