Historic 15th century villa owned by the same family has become the loveliest place to spend time in Italy— a spectacular mountaintop location in the charming town of Giungano.. just 20 minutes from the outstanding Greek ruins of Paestum. Five star service and a truly wonderful host.

Breakfast was served on a beautiful terrace surrounded by the gorgeous countryside. There were wonderful home made coffee cakes, tarts, muffins, croissants. Fresh meets, cheeses, various breads and a panini press. Eggs any style made to order with ham, bacon, toast. Expresso, cappuccino and coffee. Lots of fruit juices, home made jams, cereals and fresh fruit. The entire staff at the villa couldn't be nicer. They make you feel at home and you can use any of the rooms.The library is filled with hand-bound 400 year old books with calligraphy and letterpress. The views are amazing and the infinity pool is set beautifully into the hillside. Terraces overlook the hills that are patch-worked with olive trees, vineyards, flowers and mountains. At night, guests take their wine/drinks (full bar are available based on an honor system) out on turret to watch the sunset. We met great people, shared dinners and enjoyed the Domus experience together. A once in a lifetime experience!

This is a very unique property and at every turn you discover new beautiful new vignettes throughout the rooms. When the sun shines into rooms the shadows are amazing and the rooms glow. (see attached photos)The value of this property is exceptional so it is hard to complain!! FYI, since the towels are hung outside to dry they are not soft and fluffy. Also beds could be updated.

Outdoor space around pool is fabulous, if the sun shines this is a good base but if you have to sit in your room take a case of beer and some brandy by the gallon.

Over rustic and very dark in room. No effort in bathroom which was requiring a coat of fresh paint. Bed average and no additional pillows or blankets. Breakfast was poor showing with little choice and small portions which felt like it was trying to save money. Felt like i was in somebody's house and no guest boundary was obvious so uncomfortable.
