Hostel Mostel Sofia

Great social space. It was a fun place to meet fellow travelers.

Very close to everything. Room was away from main hostel in different building.

No A/C or a fan that worked in the room. Got very hot during the day and night.

It's a busy hostel and very sociable if you're looking to meet people on your travels. Obviously the flipside to this is that it can be a bit noisy at times. The bunk bed was comfy and I liked that it had a curtain so you can have a little privacy when it's time to sleep. Overall a good place to stay and great value for money.

There's a small kitchen that can get super busy at times, so prepare to be patient if you want to cook. The kitchen is also out of bounds in the morning as the hostel's own cook prepares the paid-for breakfast. One thing to consider for those people who have to leave super early (as I did) - the kitchen/reception area is locked in the early hours of the morning, so you will not be able to access anything left in that area, this could have been made clearer.

I was in the Double room in the centre of Sofia, to the secondary loft. Great for tranquility and position.

Dirty room (several dust uncleaned on the floor) Toilet is small, cold and the shower doesn’t literally exist, is just a high sink. The mattress is pretty uncomfortable and hard.
