A great get-away in the cool mountains, even if you don't play golf. Plenty of tour options nearby to waterfalls, hiking, temples rice terraces mountain views etc. Also the famous Handara gate for that must-have pic. Plenty of places to walk on the extensive property and many gardens. If golf is your thing then this course will test your skill, come give it a try.
When we arrived the lobby area had many blow flies. Flies were also a problem at the outside resto until they provided a citronella candle. Just noting that its a 2.5hr drive from the airport.

The restaurant ‘Highland 1882’ is beautiful and all staff were exceptional. Komang in the restaurant made our stay even better. Our archery instructor Aytar (or similar) was a star!

Handara was located on a mountainous area of Bali, sitting at about 1300m above sea levels. It offered a refreshing side of Bali with cool and chilly weathers! Loved the environment and also the golf course! We had so much fun!
The rooms however were quite old and not very well maintained. If you’re expecting luxurious accommodation - this is not the place. Unless you’re there for golf - there is nothing much to offer except the cool weathers.

Beautiful golf course.
Every opportunity possible to be money grabbers. Felt like a walking ATM, the staff made us feel so uncomfortable. Such a shame, the golf course was lovely.
