Belcehan Beach

Belcehan Hotel – Stayed in May 2026 Overall, I had a positive experience and found the hotel to offer acceptable service for its reasonable price. One of the best things about the hotel is the location. It’s within walking distance of Ölüdeniz Beach (around 550 m / 10 minutes). In the busy season, roads near the beach can become almost completely blocked with traffic, so choosing a hotel close to the beach is definitely a smart idea. The swimming pool is nice and clean, although it is only open from 8 AM to 7 PM. I wish they would extend the closing time a bit, especially in summer evenings. All rooms have balconies with a pool view, which is nice visually, but there is very little privacy or quietness. The balconies are very close to each other, so you can hear and see neighboring rooms very easily, and they can hear and see you too. The room amenities were quite limited. There were no water bottles, electric kettle, tea or coffee bags, cups, or paper towels in the room. Breakfast was very basic: eggs, two types of cheese, two types of olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, jams, and one cooked vegetable dish. During my two-night stay, one day it was potatoes and the other day mushrooms. I hope they can add more variety. Breakfast is also served only between 8 AM and 10 AM, which feels a bit short. Starting earlier or extending the hours would be helpful. The safety locker in the room was locked and unusable in both rooms I stayed in. Maybe reception can activate it, but I didn’t want to call, explain, and wait. It would be better if they simply left them ready to use. Funny enough, there was a note encouraging guests to use the safe to protect their belongings… but since it wasn’t working, my belongings were not very “safe” :). I also liked that this is an adults-only hotel, so there were no children running around the pool area. If you are traveling with kids, there may be another Belcehan building nearby for families. Just to clarify: the hotel I’m reviewing is the one directly in front of the ŞOK market. The location is also convenient because it is on the road toward Faralya and Kabak, and very close to the main road connecting the beach and Fethiye. The staff were kind overall, but service could sometimes be slow. A few times, I felt they asked guests to sit and wait, then forgot about them. I noticed this happening to other people at reception too. In my case, things were solved after reminding them, and they remained polite and helpful throughout.
