The property is amazing just few cocoroach in the room but food was amazing

We experienced several issues during our stay that affected our overall experience.
Upon check‑in, the room that had been booked for us had a very strong and unpleasant smell, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. We immediately raised this with staff and requested an alternative room.
We were then moved to a three‑bedroom house, which was spacious and generally pleasant. Unfortunately, there was no remote control for the TV. As I was travelling with children , this became an issue, and we had no choice but to return to the original accommodation.
The following morning, staff came through to deep clean the room, which did help significantly with the odor, and we appreciated this effort.
However, another point of concern was the lack of Wi‑Fi connectivity in the rooms. Wi‑Fi was listed as an available amenity at the time of booking, so this was misleading and disappointing.
While some efforts were made by staff to assist us, the initial condition of the room and the amenities not matching the listing impacted our stay.

Getting there was easy but when entering the Estate it was very dark and the driveway and paths to the reception and rooms weren’t lit. One could easily drive into the trees or trip on the steps. The estate looked unkept with leaves strewn all over, furniture looked old and damaged. But the room was warm & cosy &comfy. The food at the restaurant was a let down. The trout was very dry. But a nice place to relax
