We celebrated our honeymoon here early June, and we cannot begin to describe how amazing this place was! The staff were incredible, always kind, helpful, prepared (we are especially grateful to Nontas, Spyros, Anna, Elena, Meggy, Paraskevi and of course Iro - in no particular order and also not exclusively, everyone has been amazing), they helped with everything from car rental (which is just across the street) through airport transfer to recommendations of sites to visit and even booking organized events (eg. sunset boat tour). The hotel and the rooms are beautifully designed, but also super functional, comfortable. It is fairly new but everything felt like they’ve been running this place for decades, everything was smooth and well thought through. The gym, the pools (we had a jacuzzi on our balcony), the sunbeds, are all great, functional, comfortable and aesthetic too. Another highlight was the food. We were happy we chose halfboard as the food is so good, great selection, with super nice options for picky eaters (eg. my husband who prefers meat with potato or rice, no veggies) as well as those who want more nutritious, maybe plant-based options, and it changes day-by-day with the classics staying the same, so we didn’t get bored of it even in 10 days (and could have stayed longer). The hotel is located perfectly, easy to visit both Heraklion and Chania by car, but the south coast is also easily reachable (Preveli beach there is wonderful) as well as other sights such as Lake Kournas or the Argyroupoli waterfalls, and the nearest town, Rethymno is also super cute. Overall, we cannot recommend it enough and will be back. And thank you, to the dear hotel staff, for making our honeymoon unforgettable!!!

We loved this property and the staff were all amazing! From the reception, to the spa, to the pool, to the restaurant. Sphiros served us food poolside all day and was amazing. We met the owner and she was so kind and giving that we will definitely be coming back. Do not hesitate to book this....extremely relaxing and beautiful property!!! Amy
