Great location!

Residhotel Vieux Port is located in an amazing spot in Marseille. It is just a few steps away from Vieux-Port which is the main area and is full of restaurants. The hotel is also walking distance to all the major attractions. The staff including the lady and gent at the reception was very friendly and helpful. As we arrived at the hotel before check-in time they provided us with the bag drop service in the hotel itself which was so welcoming so we could go out and enjoy some lunch and explore freely before the actual check-in time. The room was comfortable for my family of 3 and all amenities were included in the room and was prepared for us when we went into the room. We felt safe in the room and hotel which is very careful with who enters the building. We will definitely stay at Residhotel Vieux Port when we visit Marseille again.

Location location location…close to everything!

Location

On 4th floor & no internet unless in passage way asked for it be fixed first day… asked again next morning and we were offered another room on 1st floor which we took as needed internet. Room was smaller and the street noise was very loud until about 3 am every night. In both rooms the power did not work on window side of bed, so no light & no chance to charge anything near bed. No light in kitchen area, making it hard to use in semi darkness. Knowing what we know now, we would return but not on first floor as too noisy. Staff more than helpful😊

Spacious room and elevator. Good bathroom

Sketchy, stairs after the elevator and in the bedroom. Horrible and poor breakfast. You have to give 150€ of collateral and that was not mentioned prior to arriving.

Comfortable rooms for family in a simple apartment very well located

The room was comfortable for a family and quite well located in a quiet street close to everything.

The breakfast wasn't included and wasn't that amazing. Especially the croissants that were not at all on a French level ;)

Good location. No 3-star hotel, more like cheap hostel

Location close to old port. Staff very nice (only one person, who worked both at reception and breakfast)

Not hotel standard, more like hostel. Old, and not clean. Pictures on web doesn't match what you get. Storage in hallways. E.g. we prefer to use stairs, the door from stairway to hall in ground floor almost blocked by trolleys with linen. This would be crises in case of an evacuation emergency.

Disappointing

The closeness to the old port

The room was quite small and tatty with the bear essentials. There was no chest of drawers or any drawers to put small things like underwear just half a wardrobe or cupboard the hot water tank in the other half. It was adequate not in any way luxurious.

We booked a room with a kitchen stove which didn't work when we got there and there wasn't a kettle. So we couldn't use the kitchen.

A comfy room with plenty of space in a great location so close to the port and main museums/shops. The kitchenette facilities were handy and the breakfast was good for a continental offering.

Overall, it could use a bit of an update/refresh. There were cracks in the bedside lamps, worn out bedside tables, and mould behind the shower door handle and ceiling which comes with age/little ventilation.

Unreliable

The position.

We were not given the booked room, the one we were assigned was on the ground floor, with a bathroom without a window and much smaller than the one we booked. I informed the staff, they replied that everything was booked. Booking urged the property to respond to the reminder, they never responded and never apologized.

Excellent value. Really good staff & location.

The location is amazing, the staff were helpful & friendly. The room had a kettle, a fridge, plus a hob (that we didn't use). Hairdryers are on reception. The facilities are not luxurious but everything is clean and very comfortable. Excellent value for money.

My one gripe would be about towels. We just about had enough for a three night stay but......they could have been a bit bigger or softer maybe.

Ok stay

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to be close to the port and the centre of the city. However, it can get quite noisy during the night as well as the day with traffic noise or street music. Everything is close by including pharmacy, bakery and supermarket. The room was clean upon arrival. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly - they were happy for me to leave my luggage with them for a few hours after check-out.

The bathroom window is basically see through (covered by transparent net curtain) so the people in the opposite building can probably see you during the night if the bathroom light is on. The power cable of the microwave was not long enough to reach the power socket so we had to move the microwave onto the dining table to reach the power socket. The wifi is not suitable to attend zoom or teams meetings. Also we did not know that the reception is closed during the afternoon for a few hours so we had to wait for 2 hours before we could get inside the hotel for check-in.

The location and the terrace of my apartment! It wasnt clear if smoking were allowed in terrace when you read the rules.

Kitchen furniture was really unconfortable as draws were so high to reach! They didn't think about guests under 1.70 m when designing it. We were very surprised with this annoying issue!

Location is great. Would probably stay there if I went on another budget holiday.

Got up charged when we asked to upgrade our rooms through booking.com. On the chat they said 45 euros but when we got there they said 55. Service is not amazing but its still pleasant. Rooms are clean and facilities did the jobs.

Location is perfect, very close actually everywhere. Room was clean, beds comfy.

The room suppose to be ready for 3 people unfortunately, it was ready for two. My friend didn't get a duvet. When she went to the reception asked for it, the receptionist didn't give her, he said it will be ready for the next day. She was freezing during the night only under sheet.
