Very, very pleaseant, the hotel really wrapped me up in an atmosphere of the City each evening.

The Calm atmosphere throughout.... the decor oozing history, the location...my little balcony..the cost...that art work on the walls....the very lovely staff.....the key for my room and it's little place in with all the other keys!

Nothing Really..maybe the shower size, but really, that wasn't an issue, it's a shower....all good

Good beds, nice interior design, nice bar, good location.

Booked a quad room, it turned out to be a double room with a sofabed, very small. We booked because of the pool but kids are not allowed in the pool. There was a faul smell at the rooftop bar. We checked out a night earlier knowing we had to pay the room for an extra night, however we were surprised that we also didnt get our money back for the breakfast that wouldve been for the day after. Quite strange since obviously we would not use it. Staff overall was very friendly but 1 person acted condescending towards a lot of guests.

Close to a tram stop and walking distance to the telegraphique.

Found hairs in the bathroom and no hot water kettle or cups in the room. The whole property is dated - more like a two star property in my opinion.

This is a very interesting city to visit. You must go up on the téléphérique to the Bastille.

City Centre location. We didn’t mind the fact that it could be a little noisy at times, but that’s what you get with a city Centre location.

This was our second visit to the Hotel de l'Europe and we can't say enough about it. If you are looking for modern-day comfort within the confines of what used to be one of Grenoble's oldest and most charming hotels, look no further. This time we were given a top floor room with balcony and a view of the Place de Grenette and the Alps in the distance. We spent the first and last moments of every day admiring the magnificent views on that balcony. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the staff couldn't be more charming and friendly.

Central, clean, soundproof, good breakfast.

Very cordial and nice staff. Centrally located in old town. Easy access to public transit, to train station, etc. Excellent breakfast for price. Sweet and savory. Near the cable cars and you get a 10 percent savings for them from hotel. Loved the view from balconies. With window closed, soundproof. Modern shower. Rooms nice and clean and neat. Good layout. Would return again!

Pleasant stay in the heart of town

I had a pleasant stay, right in the heart of grenoble.The room didn't have as much character as the hotel I stayed in the previous night but the bed was comfortable and the linen was super soft. I would have liked coffee making facilities, as received in the previous hotel for the same price

Right in the middle of the city center, very close to the tram line and bar/restaurant area

It is a bit stuffy, and there was a strange smell in the bathroom. Very squeaky floors, but you can get that in old establishments

Nice old building hotel in the city center. Close to the FUNICULAIR, 5 minutes walk. Good personal, helpful and who really well speaking english. They have la Fayett parking in 5 minutes walk and they give good discount. Also the funiculair tickets were also with discount when you show the hotel card. The room was clean and the conditioner worked really well.

Not wallowed to eat in the room. No refrigerator.

Nice old but renovated hotel in the centre of Grenoble. Room spotless and comfortable with an odd shaped small bathroom. Free coffee in the lounge, friendly staff. Central, restaurants and shopping all round. Ask for reduction of parking fee - and take the cable car to the fortress for the wonderful views!

Hotel right in the city center (surrounded by stores and restaurants). We had a lovely city view. Spacious room and bathroom (what is very rare in local hotels).

Lack of charging points. 2 persons with mobiles and laptops had problems in charging - there was only one in the middle of the wall that was creating some troubles, but it's an old style hotel :).

Beautiful 200 year hotel in the heart of Greoble with some parking challenges

Breakfast great value and breakfast room very stylish

Parking at underground lot a few blocks away, one way roads and street trams made getting in and out challenging. Hotel gave a ticket so over night was on 11€

The location is very central, and the 24h reception is important. There are many public means of transport in the area and shops as well. The staff was very nice.

The rooms need to be updated and the climate was very cold inside the room (while in the common spaces outside the room it was good). Not very comfortable compared to the costs for the furniture etc.
