Most enjoyable spoilt by the room.

Pleasant relaxing and restaurant a plus

We were upgraded to the ground floor of the annex. However the room and bathroom with jacuzzi was Large but the floor, curtains and walls were very tired. A re flooring and decoration is way past its sale by date. However we would certainly re visit but in a different room

Tired hotel but amazing restaurant - very friendly venue and ideal for a stopover

The star of the show at this hotel is the restaurant. We both enjoyed a fabulous meal, I am a vegetarian and frequently France is an issue for me but this hotel had both a starter and a main course that were delicious. My husband declared his meal the best of the holiday and he is not easily pleased! The wine list is really good too. Staff were so friendly and attentive especially Morgan.

The hotel is dated and tired. Our room in the orangerie was OK but is desperately in need of a refurbishment. The gardens are also a little tired and it's a real shame that the tennis court has been left to get so overgrown. However, we did both sleep well so the bed and the pillows were comfortable and the water in the bathroom was good and hot!

Really.... quirky ?

Really characterful "fin de siecle" French hotel that used to be a grand private residence and was converted in the 1980's. Breakfast was just a buffet, but had plenty of fresh options.

The building was converted to a hotel in the 1980's... and does not appear to have been refurbished since. It ticks all of the necessary facilities boxes to be 4 stars, but the decor, wiring and plumbing can be hilariously patch work and bodged. Really interesting for a night's stop over, but I would not want to spend a week there.

An island apart.

Fabulously situated in the midst of ancient cypress trees and beautiful grounds, this gorgeous old manner house has been lovingly converted into a luxury hotel with swimming pool, sauna , steam room and gym. The property retains its original character which is reflected in the decor and fittings. We slept in the Orangery in a spacious room with ready access to the grounds where we walked with our dog. The restaurant and food were superb, the owner charming , and the staff friendly and efficient. I could not recommend this hotel too highly. It is perfect.

Dated decor but fabulous grounds in a good location.

Seems like it was decorated in the 1980s and not updated since. Our room had a cracked mirror and window pane. Dinner was superb but breakfast very disappointing. The potato dauphinoise had obviously been microwaved and the omelet was rubbery. However the smell of the pain au chocolate wafting up to the room was divine to wake too!

Incredible stay

Hotel is in old very nice villa.Special thanks to the staff,they were very professional, upgraded our room.There is relaxing spa on site.It was very good decision to book half board-restaurant is exceptional, very good wine selection.Breakfast just outstanding.All in all-very exciting stay.

Great overnight stop over travelling home

The island setting gives the hotel a mystique to its location in a pretty region of France. our bedroom had a private terrace where we enjoyed afternoon drinks in some late summer sunshine. The evening dinner was exceptional and well worth the money. The staff were very attentive and professional. Breakfast was also very good with an excellent range of buffet choose including some hot food options.

Post covid some areas do look a little tired from a maintenance prospective which was most noticeable in the Spa facility which if this had been the focus of our stay would have been disappointing. Pool temperatures however were fine both indoors and out!

Tim and all the staff were superb. kind, considerate and extremely passionate & knowledgeable about Normandy. the facilities were excellent, the kayaking made for an exciting trip, complete peace & tranquil making our stay truly relaxing. having air conditioning was bliss and a real bonus helping the family to get a good nights sleep. The quality of the food was wonderful, a strong selection of wines to compliment our dinner.

it is an old property, so don’t expect some mod cons but it is lovingly looked after.

Great Park. Personal welcome with tour. Great roof top above the orangerie. Fantastic chef and outstanding dinner inclusif piano music all night an a 50y old Calvados to call the day. Thanks and congratulations.
