The swimming pool and breakfast are great. Also its location, surrounded by a green land, is really nice and cozy during autumn and winter. As it is located close to Karlsruhe downtown, it is perfect to get some days off from work and rest & relax with your family and toddlers. We loved it.

The restaurant - available for dinner - is extremely costly (as it was a Michelin start restaurant a few years ago). Of course this info was not available in Booking and caught us unprepared - so we had to figure dinner outside the hotel premises.

IfNo air conditioning and the breakfast has to be far better with a relais name to it and even dinner should extend to atleast 10 pm to enjoy some wine and food and relax in the atmosphere.

location is great, close to heidelberg or Karlsruhe. the Villa itself is huge! the gardens are very pretty, lush and well maintained. cery animal friendly too. the rooms are generously huge, the staff are polite and very nice - from the reception, breakfast area, restaurant, bar. it was my birthday and my boyfriend asked a special set up at the breakfast area and they were very accommodating. they have a pool and jacuzzi that is fully available to guests. one of the best hotels we've chosen so far. i took a lot of pictures of the place because it's just beautiful. too bad i can only share 4 here. :)

disappointing experience

Situated in a nice park-like garden. Dinner on outside terrace was delightful. The only staff member who handled our complaints adequately and was professional throughout was Ms. Genski.

The decor is outdated and the walls could do with a fresh layer of paint. The room did not have air-conditioning and there was a dirty glass left in the room. Hotel was closed for lunch when we arrived because of a wedding party, with no alternative provisions made for guests and no decent restaurants nearby. The reception messed up our reservation of their e-bikes, which meant that are plans for spending a day outside biking were destroyed. Food in their restaurant is average and over priced. Breakfast was a standard buffet without any special features. Location is a let down with few nearby attractions or things to do. We left after one night, despite having booked two.
