A magical and memorable week at Hotel Klausterbrau full of winter wonder and friendly faces

The location and hotel itself were absolutely beautiful, everything was cared for and clean, and the staff was wonderful and friendly!

While breakfast was incredible, we were a little disappointed by quality of the dinner offerings. Some of the food was a bit bland and the textures of the food were all very soft, without any variety. We would have wanted more variety in both texture and flavor. But the quality of the food was excellent and homegrown which was amazing! Just didn’t wow us.

Beautiful hotel, magical stay!

The hotel itself is beautiful, the facilities are great and its completely spotless. There are some lovely touches which give it the luxury feel such as the hot drinks/snack stations around the hotel and available all day. The personalised robes and the same table for your stay was so nice and removed stress for us. The food was a real winner for us, I have never seen a breakfast spread of that quality, I have returned feeling so healthy. The location is spot on for exploring the town and surroundings and the staff were helpful when we had queries.

As first time visitors we could have done with some more information on arrival, such as spa etiquette or what was included with our full board. For us it would have just removed a little of the worry on our first day.

Nice hotel in the center of the city

The dinner was completely disaster. All the food portions was so small that they can feed only a kitten. And the meat dish was awful. it’s a shame to make such a poor dishes in Austria. also, my room was so close to the bar area and it was loud music till 11 PM so I couldn’t sleep. Also, the stuff didn’t inform me anything about spa facilities of the hotel. the spa areas officially open till 8 PM but I came at 7pm and most of saunas were already closed. Only one sauna worked.

A ‘Younique Experience’ stripped of warmth and welcome

Nothing.

A “Younique Experience”… but not the one we expected €3,140 prepaid via Booking.com for 5 nights — €628 per night — plus €35 per dog, per night, and an extra €49 final cleaning fee for the presence of a dog. This was a gift for our 15th wedding anniversary. I had clearly stated during the Booking process that we would be travelling with our two small bichons (6 kg each). The replies from the hotel’s reception were brief, no kindness and unhelpful — it quickly became clear that my booking via Booking.com instead of direct was not particularly appreciated. We had chosen the Klosterbräu for its dog friendly image. Upon arrival, we discovered a rule never mentioned during the Booking process (despite prior exchanges): only one dog per table is allowed in the restaurant !!!!! As we were travelling with our two dogs, we were forbidden to dine with both. The only “solution” offered was to eat aside, isolated between the lobby and the bar — despite being on a full-board package. This left us feeling humiliated, treated as second-class citizens simply because we had two small dogs. Frankly, it was absurd. I made three separate one-hour calls to Booking’s customer service. They apologised. No concrete help. After just one night, we finally decided to leave rather than endure what we see as fake pet friendly marketing and asked for partial refund. No partial refund, no truly suitable gesture. We reached an « arrangement » with the hotel’s management: a voucher worth approximately two nights’ stay, for another stay which was non sense ! and finally that could be used in the hotel’s souvenir shop… not to loose everything. The rooms, while luxurious, are overloaded with useless complex technology. ➡ This so-called “Younique Experience 5 stars for paws ”? Yes… but for us, it will remain a bitter, humiliating memory — worlds away from the promise advertised.

A perfect ski weekend

Lovely food, had full board. The hotel was very friendly, the bar staff were super attentive- a welcome drink was offered (i had an Aperol spritz) the minute i stepped into the hotel - whilst the staff took my bags upstairs. In the evenings there was a piano player which gave the place additional ambience. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the beautiful town next to the church, and only 5 minutes walk from the train station (Innsbruck to Seefeld by train costs around 6.5 euros and takes around 35 minutes). Alot of original features in the hotel from when it was a monastery. The spa was amazing, had an exquisite massage after a day of skiing, then relaxed in the hot tub outside which has a perfect view of the snow capped mountains. The outdoor sun loungers had blankets for anyone wishing to spend some time relaxing in the sun.

Lovely hotel, amazing spa and delicious food

- The spa area with many pools is great and much bigger than expected - The food is amazing and a great variety - The farm animals like goats were so lovely - special things like happy eggs, car parking service (even with the daily cost of 8,5 EUR) worked really well, teen's lounge etc - the suite was big and clean with beautiful views and balcony - the hotel is beautiful, so many candles lit in the evenings, the new and old designs match nicely

- the bed was too soft for my liking - the church bells are very close and wake you up at 7 am even on Sundays, so impossible to sleep late unless you are used to such noise every 15 mins, we weren't... - the service is nice and everything works well but maybe could have been more proactive and friendlier especially during the dinner, not quite 5* - the naked sauna area is very strange concept for us, so didn't go there after a quick visit to realize that everyone really was naked there without towels etc. However, there were plenty of non-naked areas to enjoy. - 0,75l water costs 8,5 EUR during dinner

I book this relaxing holiday for my inlaws and they enjoyed every moment of it! Everybody was very friendly, the food everyday adjusted to the severe allergies of my mother in law and the clean and relaxing wellness! They will 100% rebook for next year.

Great getaway to run off to. Here you can relax and recover while you enjoy fantastic food. The spa area is super clean and especially nice with the warm temperatures both inside and outside.

Not comfortable with no clothes in sauna. It would be nice with a sauna where you can have your swimsuit on. I do not want to meet my dinner neibour without clothes, I am sorry about that.

A really great family run hotel for a relaxing vacation in the mountains

The staff were always extremely courtious and polite. Service was impeccable and customer focussed. Excellent breakfast - one of the best buffets I have see. Evening meal was also fantastic and my wife was delighted with the daily vegan menu - very rare for a hotel to put so much thought into such customer requirements. Location in the heart of Seefeld is ideal. The pool and wellness area is of the highest standard.

Maybe at breakfast the coordination of the serving staff could be a little slicker - but this is really a very minor observation. Otherwise there is nothing more to add - everything was great

All-round amazing experience in a beautiful hotel

We loved everything about Klosterbräu. The food, the staff, the room, the location, the pools, the spa, the style of the place. We particularly loved how welcome our little puppy was. He was treated as well as we were! It is a unique, special hotel that I can't recommend highly enough.
