Friendly helpful staff. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Great location. Convenient parking at the rear of the hotel.
I booked a suite with a double and two single beds. This would be well suited to a family with two children but we were four adults and it wasn't such a good fit. The lavatory is in a very small room with no washbasin. To wash your hands you have to go to the shower room which is through the main bedroom. Some changes to the layout could make the suite work much better for groups like ours.
There were no curtains or blinds on the bedroom windows, so you wake up with the sun.

Great location, spacious room, good lighting, beautiful view of Melk Abbey and a quiet atmosphere.
First and foremost, it was unacceptable that there were 12 spiders on the ceiling of our bedroom. When we arrived in the evening and switched on the lights, we noticed the spiders and the large webs after a while. The corners and edges of the ceiling had clearly not been cleaned. When we wanted to speak to the staff, they had already left, which was also a surprise, as nobody had informed us upon arrival that there would be no staff available during the late evening or night.
