Room was well appointed and property was very quiet. Great view over the lake.
Property is a bit strange! It is an old Manor House in the middle of a park over looking lake Geneva. There are no staff at the hotel apart from check in and breakfast. We were the only people in the hotel for one night which was rather strange. No bar or lounge for evening drinks or no shop or kiosk to buy snacks etc. property is a good 20 to 30 minutes walk from the main town centre. Parking is also a pain as you have to get out your car and speak to someone in a sister hotels to lift the car park barrier.

Beautiful hotel and location. 5 mns walk to my office. For those who like calm places.
Everything was great.

The location was wonderful. This was my second visit to this facility. My first stay was in August. Unfortunately, the terrace was closed during my recent stay. Also, in the evening all common spaces were either used by catered events, or they were locked. I had to sit on the steps of the stairwell in order to take an evening phone call. We were essentially mandated to stay in the room. On a positive note, the staff was wonderful. They were kind and happy to help. The garden room we stayed in was extremely small. Breakfast was fine. The view from the breakfast room was fabulous.
See above.

Although we had a reservation we were asked to move to The Metropole before arriving ( much to our initial disappointment) but we found the hotel lovely and all very accommodating! It was a lively property with full amenities and pleasant staff.
No negatives!

Nothing !!!

The bulging and the surrounding areas. Good quality of room amenities. The Sunday brunch is worthy even if it a little bit overpriced. I was travelling with my dog and they accommodate us well, leaving him his own bowl and doghouse.
Room was dirty, spiderwebs all over the windows. The corridors are pretty olde and sloppy. The elevator was out of order when we arrived and no one helped us with the luggage’s. Considering the Hotel is a four stars I was expecting a more attentive service.

Superb location
No functional A/C in the room

Location is excellent. Restaurant was closed during our stay - would advise checking opening hours. Staff very friendly.
Room was dark - in the attics so view is not great. Air con did not work but we did have a Dyson fan which helped a little. Phone in room did not work - was sorted quickly - only way to contact staff as reception is not always staffed.

We stayed here once before and that was great, but this time they really lost their touch.
There is no personnel at the location after 19:00 or before 10:00AM. Checking in after 19 has to be done at Hotel Metropole, which is cumbersome and expensive as they did not hurry at all while my taxi was racking up a bill waiting.
But the worst this time was that I booked an extra bed in the room for my guest, which I double confirmed as well, but when we arrived with 3 people in the middle of the night after a long journey, there was no extra bed. No one could be reached neither from the hotel, or the Metropole, or Booking.com. I had to sleep on the floor!
And to add insult to injury, the receptionist the next morning was unimpressed, and didn’t seem to care at all about this. Only when I repeated what a horrible night it had been, did she mumble something about “we’ll see what we can do”, but nothing was done. No compensation, no apology, nothing. Absurd and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.

Lack of staff, noisy due wedding party, breakfast late, insufficient and basic.
There should have been a total insistence by management on relocation to sister Hotel Métropole as Hotel Residence was not fit for purpose July 5/6, this was never directly communicated to us either beforehand or at check in. Will not return.

We received a call the same day of our booking advising that the hotel was not staffed and they were having personnel issues for a few days. We were advised that the only option was to stay at a sister property and receive an upgrade. So, even though we paid in advance AND RECIEVED CONFIRMATION OF OUR CHECK IN TIEM (BETWEEN 4 AND 5PM) THE DAY BEFORE, OUR RESERVATION WAS NOT HONORED. It is important to not sell rooms if the property is not staffed. The alternative offered, Hotel Metropole, was very nice, but a completely different experience than we planned and hoped for.

Location in the park was really nice and the room was good size.
It’s like a sleep in. The rooms are nice but the place hasn’t been renovated. Don’t expect room service or a restaurant in the premises. After 6pm no one there to assist with anything.

The beautiful park location, and ease of parking
Disappointed that room didn't face the lake.

Both the location and the staff are very good.

Large comfortable room with far-reaching view over the lake and very clean, well-equipped bathroom.
Dislike is too strong, but the breakfast was very simple and all cold except for the drink. I would have liked toast or an egg on a couple of days.

Bathroom layout was great. Beautiful location in park.
Odd smell to the room itself, room seemed beat up (scuffs on walls), and no one was at desk to let us in (waited 10 minutes outside with bags)

The location of the hotel was lovely. It’s inside a mini sports park: tranquil and overlooking the Geneva lake. It has all the amenities inside the room for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is basic, continental but it we fine for us. The restaurant is seasonal and is shut during winter. For us, it was not a problem because we liked to explore local restaurants.

Very nice location in an old park. Cosy room, well heated and significantly larger than the Swiss average. Very friendly staff.
the restaurant was closed and it wasn’t mentioned so.

The kindness and professionalism of the staff, the amazing location and the secured parking.
No real lobby to relax, there was a conference going on that weekend so the hotel felt more like a conf center than a luxury residence. We could also hear a constant noise coming from the ventilators at night which was annoying.
