Stayed in Standard Room for 14 nights and will do so again next year. Great location on Lamai Beach and really friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Hive was great bang for buck clean with a good pool beautiful location and perfect ocean swimming. Beautiful gardens. Older resort but perfect for a relaxed stay.

This hotel is in a great location, beautiful beach front and close to bars & restaurants.
Rooms are a good size and the grounds are well maintained.
However, there’s a good few things that let this hotel down. I’ll list below:
Rooms: the light isn’t good, the furniture is all dark wood which adds to the darkness. No headboard, mirror only in bathroom, no wall hooks or space for suitcases. Good cleaning service though, maids came in daily with fresh towels and made the bed.
Pool area: this is on beach front so great location for this however the pool/beach area are not well maintained. Tables don’t seemed to be cleaned and left with sticky residue which attracts lots of flies/ants. Many of the wooden tables have seen better days and are falling apart. The sun parasols are in an awful state many with holes, rips, rust, dirty marks on them. I’m our opinion just these small touches can make all the difference.
A freshen and brighten up of the rooms, some wall hanging hooks and maybe a long mirror. Clean up and new parasols around the pool could be really easy quick wins to take this hotel to the next level.
Staff were lovely, genuinely can’t do enough for you which made up for the above. Personally we would not stay here again which is a shame as it has so much potential.
