Promenáda Romantic Hotel

IIt cannot be better located than this, best area to walk around Karlovy Vary. The rooms have a vintage feel and look, although very modernist facilities, the swimming pool and sauna area are just about the right size. Very friendly staff.

The Sauna and pool are not in the same building and the rooms facing the back have no view of the city.

We liked the location and the treatment from the staff.

No jacuzzis.

The hotel itself was lovely, clean and in a great location. Unfortunately, the customer service at reception was poor. The room we booked was advertised as having 2 single beds. When I asked about it after we had checked in, I was told that it's not possible to have 2 single beds in the room we booked. I showed what I had booked via booking.com, but was offered not compromise or compensation. I was told that I could pay for the upgrade to a room with 2 single beds, but I refused since I wasn't the one at fault. There was zero flexibility from the receptionist. Eventually, I contacted booking.com. They also tried to reason with the receptionist but still no willingness to compromise or find a fair solution. In the end, booking.com agreed to reimburse me for the upgrade even though the hotel falsely advertised the sleeping arrangements. This was a very disappointing experience, especially for such a lovely hotel.
