    We had a wonderful stay at the Excelsior Hotel on La Maddalena island. The hotel is super clean, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is absolutely perfect—very convenient for exploring the island and close to everything you might need. We especially appreciated the breakfast, which was a great way to start the day with a good variety of options. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would definitely recommend it.

    Relatively modernised, fair value hotel, with decent staff & breakfast included - all conveniently located for numerous large ferries (though audible from sea-facing bedrooms - maybe better avoided by light sleepers)

    Everything was almost great except for two things: the breakfast was bad…the scrambled eggs that was being offered had a taste of oil that had been used for frying seafood- it was nasty. The rest of the food looked like it had been there forever. Secondly, I was hoping to get a glass of wine at the hotel after my dinner, but the bar had already closed at 9pm…makes no sense as it was not that late - and it was a weekend- but the location is perfect…but they could work on their breakfast and stay open til at least 10pm…
