Hotel Locanda del Benaco

Highly recommended! Fantastic hotel on the edge of Lake Garda. Great location (cafes/restaurants/ferries), clean and comfortable room with a/c. Friendly staff and the best breakfasts of our whole European trip! Christina checked us in and seems to work every day, all day. She also makes the most amazing cakes for breakfast!

Glass-sided shower box in centre of the room, so choose your travel partners wisely. Not all rooms are the same, so worth checking if you value your privacy. Hotel is difficult to find on google maps. Recommend asking the hotel for a street map showing vehicle access for dropping off bags, etc. Parking is a 5-minute walk away in a multi-story car park.

This was a great stay in the lovely town of Salo on Lake Garda. The hotel was two or three minute walk from the ferry terminal on the beautiful promenade lake frontage. Our room was spacious with great aircon, the breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the lake were delicious and filling and location was perfect for walks, shops, restaurants and local sights. Above all the staff, particularly the lady who runs the front of house, were friendly, efficient and kind, they made us feel very much at home.
