A beautiful location right next to the lakeside made it all worth it

Disappointing experience.

Good, central location. Nice outlook across the lake from the rear of the hotel. Rooms were clean, and staff were friendly.

I appreciate that our experience might have been a very different one, had we been given a room that didn’t look out onto a busy main road. However, despite informing the member of staff who checked us in that one of us is a light sleeper, we were given a room next to the road. When we questioned this, we were told, because the hotel was full, that it was the only room they could have given us. This would have been fine if the room was adequately sound proofed. But it was not. The road is consistently busy throughout the night. Lots of motorbikes and mopeds going past, and each one sounded as though it was inside the room. We had to use noise cancelling earphones to block out the sound, and even they weren’t very effective. The result was that we barely got any sleep. For us, this was not a 5 star hotel experience, and we will not return. However, there are very clearly plenty of happy customers who have had positive experiences. My advice to potential guests would be to ensure that they request a room away from the main road. My advice to the hotel is that they invest in some soundproofing for their windows.

Beautiful and cosy hotel

Cosy and beautiful hotel. Our room was convenient and quite spacious. Parking, nice pool. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Location beautiful, 10 mins walk to the town centre. Staff extremely nice and helpful. All the premises were spotless clean at all times. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Even though breakfast was great, a small thing - omelettes come at a surcharge.

The hotel is very clean and modern and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. The breakfast buffet was also excellent! Perfect location on the lake front, we enjoyed breakfast and lunch with beautiful views every day!

Lovely hotel, shame about the room location.

The breakfast was lovely. The room was very clean and the pool was well maintained. The young staff were very attentive.

We were given a room in the ‘inner courtyard’ that was sat right above a main roundabout. The noise levels from the room were really bad, you could hear every motorbike and lorry that went past; there was a lack of soundproofing. Also from the hallway you could hear activity.

In conclusion, my vacation and experience in this hotel was not great at all and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel

I chose this hotel for a two-night stay at Lake Garda. While the hotel is in a good location and generally pleasant, it does not reflect the experience and vibes one would expect from a five-star property, especially if you’re seeking a luxury getaway.

Unfortunately, the service we received did not match the price we paid. I also would stress that one of the receptionists, in particular, was noticeably unwelcoming—so much so that it felt almost personal against our race, which significantly impacted my overall experience of the hotel and left me feeling disappointed. In two different situations she make a big fuss and let me feel embarrassed ( i ask for extra water to the room in a five star hotel !!) That said, I did encounter some kind and professional staff members who helped balance the experience.

We stayed at this hotel when the weather was really hot. The air conditioning was not working properly. We made several complaints but nothing was done about it. It was impossible to sleep as the room was too warm As the air conditioning never went below 24 degrees. We also did not like the fact that you had to pay extra for omelettes etc at breakfast. These issues made our stay far less enjoyable than we had anticipated.

Not a 5* but great location.

The property location is incredible, it’s in the perfect location to be able to explore Salò and also go to other places around the lake. The view within our room was lovely The coffee at breakfast was nice.

Our room had clearly been refurbished recently as there was paint marks on the floor and all over the tiles within the shower but it still needed work. The skirting boards were coming off at points. We had black marks all over our sheets on day one which didn’t make us feel great. Breakfast was not great, the croissants tasted like they had been made two weeks ago. The way they mixed up all the food was a little strange to me.

Very comfortable and stylish room with Amouage beauty products! We were lucky to get a room with a balcony although not all rooms in this category had one. The location is fantastic, the staff was super friendly and helpful. I especially want to say thank you for providing vegan options for breakfast: I loved the beans and hummus and tofu! Thank you so much. We also received a bottle of Prosecco and a fruit platter as a surprise for my friend’s birthday. Our stay was just perfect and I’m looking forward to returning to the hotel!

Stunning 5* hotel with 10* staff

On booking the hotel we had a choice of several as you do We chose the Bellerive 5* and from the moment we walked in was greeted by front of house and made to feel exceptionally welcome. The chap on the desk Giuseppe was superb through out the stay This hotel is definitely worth a visit and lives up to the 5* rating which is sometimes not the case Other staff worth a mention was Andrea the young waiter who always had a smile and was a credit to the hotel and Stefano the breakfast waiter. Every member of staff should be mentioned as all equally as attentive and professional. The hotel was immaculately clean and the interior was modern and elegant with simple colours that made the rooms bright and classy. Swimming pool area is great and the minute you walk out the hotel gate you immediately on the Broad walk of the lake If you looking for a top hotel you won’t be disappointed with this hotel 5 * all the way

Breakfast 10 Staff 10 Hotel extremely dated lighting in bedroom extremely Poor. Bathrooms slightly shabby BUT your staff were OUTSTANDING AND YOUR CHEF WAS ALSO EXCEPTIONAL

The whole building needs a refurb,as to the bedrooms at best are in my opinion plain and disappointing BUT the room sizes are great so you have a great blank canvas , raise the plug sockets in the rooms replace lighting in all bathrooms and add sophistication and elegance with the decor. YOU ARE MISSING SO MUCH CUSTOM BY NOT USING LEVEL 4 THIS COULD BE A BRILLIANT MONEY EARNER. Also take down the bad art work ! COME ON YOUVE GOT THE BONES OF ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IN ITALY THERE. WELL YOU DID ASK ‼️

The perfect situation - Salo

The staff were very positive and super helpful. The room was well equipped. Nice bed linen. The hotel is close to town and right on the promenade- great spot to people watch and look at all the boats. It also has a nice pool area. A really nice choice for breakfast- almost too much!

A small point - some of the furniture is looking a bit tired. But, overall this is a nice friendly well situated hotel.

This is an elegant hotel where quality and elegance are paramount. Both the breakfast and dinner were superb. The staff was attentive and extremely professional. The hotel is situated on the beautiful lakefront. The lakeside promenade is quiet and reserved. One can dine either outside or inside, Beautiful and rare subtropical plants are everywhere. IT IS AMONG THE TOP HOTELS WHERE I HAVE STAYED. Try the excellent bistecca alla fiorentina for two. Our room was lakefront on a patio.

We had a problem with hot water in our room. It came out extremely slowly (cold water came out fine). The staff couldn't solve the problem so they offered us another room to either change ours or wash ourselves in the second room without having to move luggages.
