Turul Apartment Budapest

Located in a beautiful, safe, historic area very near the train station and the Hungarian Parliament building, everything we needed and wanted was very close, either by foot, or by any of the nearby public transport options. Right on the corner of our apartment building is a 24/7 convenient store and an ok burger joint. The building itself is very clean and it has a decent elevator. The apartment itself was okay. The sleeping area has been renovated and feels modern and somewhat new still. The bath had no shower curtain, but if you take a little bit more care, there shouldn't be much water in the bathroom afterwards. The terrace has enough space to enjoy coffee in the morning with a street view. We had no issue with the aforementioned neighbor which other guests had. We kept it a little bit quieter than usual just in case, to no disturb the neighbor and it was all fine. The bathroom had a hair dryer and a laundry machine. The host was very responsive to all our questions and concerns.

Immediately upon arrival, there was a very strong cleaning chemical smell. It's a great indicator that the room has been cleaned, but the smell was too strong and we couldn't air it out for hours. The towels that we were given smelled horrible. Maybe not unclean, but probably not dried out properly after washing, which gave them a very horrible, heavy smell. We decided to use our own towels instead, which I recommend bringing. The worst part for me were the bugs in the bathroom during the night, and are the main reason why the review score is so low. Now, this could be the issue of the entire building, and not the apartment cleanliness. We've seen the cockroaches only during the nights and only in the bathroom, but still, a very uncomfortable encounter, which I wish we were made aware of before booking.

Das Appartment hat eine fantastische Lage, der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns super unterstützt. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen!

Location was brilliant and a short stroll from the train station. Easy to find.

No shower curtain.
