Belém Cozy Bedroom

Renato is a super friendly host. Apartment is always clean thanks to Renato, washing machine is available, WiFi is good. Supermarkets nearby: MyAuchan, Pingo doce and supermercado. Bus stop 50m away, tram stop and train station in Belém down the hill. Best beach: Carcavelos — closest beach: Caxias Lovely town with beach: Cascais (or Estoril on the way)

The bed linen deserve an upgrade to be comfy for nordics :D

Cisza i spokój

From the moment I arrived, I felt very much at home. It was spacious and quiet and spotlessly clean. I slept blissfully in the comfortable bed, loved the balcony with its elevated view down the street, excellent kitchen and bathroom and quick responses to messages from management via Booking.com. There is a mini-market next door and two superb local eateries at the end of the street plus a cute cafe that serves delicious coffee and opens at 7am. All very cosy, so it certainly lives up to its name. I will be back!

Nothing. It was cheap and relatively basic but perfect.

C’est propre. Une personne vient chaque jour pour ranger la cuisine et lancer des lessives si nécessaire. Le quartier est bien desservi par les bus Le prix est avantageux par rapport aux environs.

Très mauvaise isolation acoustique. On entend tout ce qui se passe dans l’appartement ( ouverture des portes…). On entend tout ce qui se passe dehors, même fenêtre fermée: chats qui miaulent, mouettes qui piaillent, voisins qui parlent. La douche a un sacré problème. L’eau chaude ne se déclenche pas toujours lorsqu’on ouvre le robinet. Et lorsqu’elle arrive , elle reste rarement plus d’une minute, ensuite elle redevient froide. Voir ci dessous la réponse du propriétaire à ce sujet « Usually, when this happens, the solution is to turn off the tap, wait about ten seconds, and then turn it back on. It usually works on the second or third try. You'll hear the kitchen heater turning on. Repeat this process until the heater starts. ». Quand qq chose ne fonctionne pas comme prévu, c’est le moment de le réparer… Il manque un coin repas. Ce qui oblige à prendre son repas dans la chambre. Pas très commode et ça réduit les contacts avec les autres occupants. L’armoire ne comporte ni étagère ni porte. Il n’y a pas d’ascenseur. 3 étages à monter ou descendre avec vos valises / courses. Dernier conseil: ne laissez pas de nourriture hors du frigo. Les fourmis la trouveront rapidement.
