Shelduck Lodge

The property was warm and welcoming and the setting on the water was superb.

The location was truly amazing right on the edge of the lake with fantastic views. The facilities within the property were more than adequate and Kevin the owner was very helpful. Despite being 2 doors down from a watersport facility, due to the excellent double glazing we could watch people having fun waterskiing and ridding on inflatables without it being intrusive. There is also the Lakeside Brasserie 2 x doors down from Shelduck Lodge which has friendly staff, great facilities and food and a fantastic place to sit on the decking overlooking the lake and having a nice glass of wine.

The sofa in the lodge had stains. A couple of things went wrong, underfloor heating not working in the lounge/dining area and no hot water but the owner fixed these as soon as they were raised with him.

Location was good . right next to the restaurant bar which was very good.

a motor boat with water skiing going on from 9am to 9pm right past our lodge very noisy., lodge was a lot smaller than it looked on the photos, no wardrobe space for clothes, no hooks to hanf towels on but seemed to appear half way through our stay ??
