We were very happy with the location but if you wanted to walk it is a bit out of the way

Stunning views and beautiful self contained cottage apartment.
That we had to leave

The Best night we’ve had in New Zealand so far. The mattress is medium‑firm, not overly soft like those in many other hotels. It was a lifesaver for someone with a lumbar disc herniation. Needless to say, the mountain‑and‑lake scenery is stunning, and the fireplace adds such a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.
The porch lights on the houses in the back row（the hillside）, are excessively bright. I do not think such bright lighting is appropriate for an International Dark‑Sky Reserve. While observing the Milky Way at night, I constantly had to hold up one hand to block the glare from those lights.
