It was a very cozy room. Felt safe and comfortable. 100% would recommend. Great price for the area. Walkable distance to restaurants in town. Short drive to many hiking areas (including the alpine crossing). Great view of Mt. Ngauruhoe from the lobby area.

I loved the location, convenient for the national park and plenty of parking. The communal areas were great and good to have the kitchen facilities. The owner was very friendly and his dog super cute! As a lone female I felt comfortable here and nice to chat to fellow travellers. Good to have a laundry also which doubled as a drying room for wet walking gear.
