APA Hotel TKP Nippori Ekimae

I’ve stayed at APA Hotels many times across different locations, and they’ve consistently been a comfortable and good-value choice. Most properties are conveniently located near train stations, and I appreciate the self-service check-in/check-out process and staffs are very nice and helpful. The main issue I’ve experienced at most APA locations is the Wi-Fi. They still seem to use older access points that only support 2.4 GHz, so the connection can be slow and unreliable, especially for guests who need stable internet for work, video calls, or other bandwidth-intensive activities. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker. Every room provides a LAN port, so if you need a reliable connection, you can use a wired connection or bring your own travel router. I bought a travel access point, LAN adapter, and Ethernet cable, which completely solved the issue. Overall, I still enjoy staying at APA Hotels and would recommend them for their comfort, convenience, and value for money. I just hope they upgrade their Wi-Fi infrastructure in the future.

Absolutely horrible experience at APA Hotel TKP Nippori Ekimae. We stayed in Room 1201 and the Wi-Fi connection was unbelievably bad. I’m currently in Tokyo but still needed to attend remote work at night, and the internet was so poor that I couldn’t even open my work email properly. We checked in around 6:15 PM and immediately noticed the issue. I complained to the reception around 6:30 PM and was told they would “restart the Wi-Fi” and asked me to wait 10 minutes. We went out for dinner hoping it would be fixed when we returned, but nothing changed. The connection kept disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. Even simple apps like Google wouldn’t load on my phone, YouTube and social media took forever to open, and working online became impossible. We stayed up past 12 AM waiting for a solution, but instead the receptionist suggested that I work from the lobby the whole night. Their “solution” was to move us to another room the next day — but only after checking out at 10 AM and waiting until 3 PM to check in again. I even asked the receptionist what I was supposed to do from 10 AM until 3 PM, and I was told I would just have to wait again in the lobby. This is completely unacceptable, especially since we booked a 5-night stay. Also, don’t believe the claims about “free skincare amenities.” There were two of us in the room — me and my daughter — yet they provided only 1 face wash and 1 moisturizer for us to share, and we were told only 2 packets per room per day are allowed, and we never requested after that as it feels like begging from them. I gave facilities 1 star because the lobby has only two chairs and they’re almost always occupied, so there’s nowhere to wait or work. I do not recommend this hotel. Very disappointing stay. Poor Wi-Fi, poor handling of complaints, and terrible customer service. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked the room a day before so we have limited options. It was not spacious but we managed to maximize the space. The location is very good as it is near the train station and the staff are very friendly <3

Just an ordinary hotel. I dont want to come back again.
