Manea Villa - Stay Waiheke

Lovely setting

It’s a bit tired and there were a few things that needed maintenance . We brought them to the attention of the management company who did their best to attend to them but weren’t able to in the time that we were there. The owner however, gave us a voucher to spend at any restaurant and we were grateful for that.

Lovely, comfortable, well fitted out home, ideal for a group weekend away.

This is a very cute property very obviously rundown only a source of income nothing gets put back into it. Has a huge yard perfect for kids has a tire swing has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the main house and 1 seperate ensuite with an external entry. Beds are comfortable they let us check in very early Liz texted me around 9.30 and let me know that the property was ready for me to check in whenever I wanted.

Sadly cleanliness is a very weak point the shared toilet smelt like public toilet the main house ensuite had build up in it which kids thought was there poop not flushing . There were some baby cockroaches , cobwebs old and new and spiders. Dinning Chairs were Dangerously wobbly so we ended up avoiding them. 1 of the bedroom has a sunroof with no shade, whatever little shade it has, has rips which means you'll be up at the crack of dawn. rooms are little crammed the ceilings are realy low in the bedrooms I am 4ft8 and could touch the ceilings standing upright. The decks are old and rundown obviouly not washed in a really long time. I will however say other than the toilets and and the baby cockroaches we were able to ignore all the other defects as the property has great potential. We did enjoy our stay at this property but it could be better.
