Making memories at Blue Horizon 💙

We loved staying at the Blue Horizon Hotel! Our whole experience was super positive, from check in, great sleep thanks to the good shutters and the comfy beds, super nice breakfast on the terrace overlooking the seaside, beach days with the provided sun chairs, chats with Maria and recommendations on how to organize our trip to San Maria Gorge. Thank you for making our 4 days in Paleochora so memorable!

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location

This lovely little hotel is perfect! We had 5 nights there. The breakfast is served on the roof terrace and it lived upto all of its great reviews. Such a lot of choice. The staff are just gorgeous and nothing is too much trouble. Location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to lovely restaurants with several beaches to choose from. The beach across from the hotel is literally across the road. We even caught the sunset from the terrace and took our own drinks up with us. We were sad to leave 🥰

This is a lovely family run hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the breakfast is great. It was our second visit and it did not disappoint.

Fabulous 👌

The hotel is stunning. It is very modern, clean and located next to the beach in a prime area. The hotel also have their own sunbeds. Maria and the rest of the team were very friendly and welcoming. The looked after us really well. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice (hot and cold). The greek yoghurt with local honey was fabulous and a must try.

We liked everything. We made the mistake of not staying long enough.

Very nice stay - 100% recommended

Small beach front property, with a courtesy parking behind. Very well situated in the village. The breakfast on the rooftop was the perfect way to start the day. They do have sunbeds across the street on the beach which I do not recall seeing when I booked this hotel so it was a nice surprise. The staff is very polite and full of recommandations.

You can see it’s a refurbished hotel. Some small details still show it, so we think it might get even better in the future. Beach towels can be provided but extra charge, which make little sense for a hotel very close from the sea - just be aware of that when packing your suitcase!

A perfect stay by the sea, with a kind host and everything you need close by.

Everything was perfect. The host was incredibly kind — she helped us book a boat ride for the next day and even packed us breakfast to go since we had an early departure. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and shower. The location is ideal: just a few steps from the beach, and within easy walking distance to both the village center and the port.

There’s only a light curtain, so the room gets quite bright at night due to the outside lighting.

Everything - it was a very well run small hotel. It was right opposite a lovely beach and they provided free beach beds & umbrella. It is located near all the restaurants & shops. It was our first time to visit paleochora. It is a beautiful village.

We LOVED this hotel. Conveniently located a one-minute walk to a beautiful, sandy beach with beds. The beds are free for hotel guests. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchenette. The family that runs the hotel is so kind and helpful. We left for activities two mornings before breakfast was served. They prepared and brought us breakfast food the night before. The normal breakfast food spread was delicious and had lots of a variety. The homemade pastries were so yummy. The center of town is a five-minute walk away. The hotel has a private parking lot in the back. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and convenient to beach across the street. Room was updated. The breakfast was good. Eggs, yogurt, pastries, and the view while eating is amazing. kitchen in room is nice with all amenities you would need to cook. rooftop terrace overlooking beach. we watched the sunset from hotel and it was beautiful. George the receptionist gave several dinner recommendations and was always available to help with anything we needed. overall would recommend and return here.

not all rooms face the water and beach. Make sure and ask for a ocean view .

Great place and what a nice family! We really felt our stay friendly. Nice and quality breakfast. You should really go upstairs bar at 7 p.m. and take a glass of Ouzo or their super Mojito and just relax and enjoy of sunset!

An eye catching boutique hotel with direct beach access. Glorious roof top for breakfast, drinks, sunset. Incredibly kind family staff. Lovely, private atrium feel on my Seaview terrace. Excellent location with 5 min walk to harbor. Perfect bed and pillows.booked 5 nights, stayed for 10.Would come again and again.

There is simply not a thing that comes to mind. My 1st time in Paleochora and my blind choice to come here was the right one. Simply lovely.

A fantastic hotel in a fantastic village!

We liked everything about this place! Maria at the front desk made us feel so welcome. It was like staying with friends. She had great recommendations, and it was just fun to chat. Her mom cooks the wonderful breakfast served on the roof deck overlooking the sea. George was also great.The room was spotless, modern and comfy. The hotel is directly across the street from a big sandy beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The main part of town is a two minute walk. You can easily walk anywhere in Paleochora too. We stayed 3 days, but longer would have been so much better! Highly, highly recommend!

Spacious and quiet room. Very close to the beach. Without competition best breakfast buffet in Crete. Bed was comfortable.

Some things expected were missing like a chair or two, a sink would be nice considering all other amenities were in place.
