Shanti Lodge Bangkok

Shanti lodge was the most perfect stay! If you’re looking for authentic Bangkok it’s here. Owners were so friendly, you can tell it’s family run as the kids are in and around the restaurant and it’s a joy to see. The food was great, home cooked and fresh, the whole place was soo clean. The rooms are exactly what you need, air con/ fan, cool original decor. I would say the location is perfect for people who don’t want to be directly in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok but not too far away from a bit of life, it’s about 25 min walk to Khaosan rd and the calmer rd before Rambuttri. Shanti lodge is also right near the river with restaurants to explore. This has been the most authentic Thai stay on our trip to far and we must definitely come back!

Value your money with good location. and the property surrounded by real Thai street food.

Just only one thing that annoyed me was the staircase is quite steep.

Good location, good food, enjoyed our stay there and relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant area.

Staff could be a bit hit and miss, sometimes lovely, sometimes seemed moody but didn’t really matter to our trip

Decoration, I could have dinner on site, 5 minutes from a beautiful church, the boat port, the local market and the 7-Eleven store was opposite the accommodation.

My room was loud and noisy, and the service was not friendly.
