Quiet neighborhood in a mostly local residential area far enough away from the touristy shops and activities but close enough if you want that stuff. Short walk to the sea and grocery store right next door. Staff is English speaking, friendly and gave accurate and detailed info on local public transportation.
Not a serious negative and beyond the control of the property but there was a rooster in the adjacent yard directly outside my window that crowed at all hours and for me was a bit annoying at the times I wished to sleep but perhaps some might see this rustic touch as a charming part of the overall experience.
