Short stay at Silver Sands Hotel Protoras

Excellent location plenty of sunbeds around the pool and grass areas. Lots of staff who were very attentive. Good choice of food and beverages on the all includive. Beds in the bedroom were very comfortable.

Food was always cold. There should have been a microwave available to heat the food up. No indoor restaurant, (there was one set up but not open.) Lacking entertainment. Our room (506) was clean although very dated, no hot water on a couple of occasions and a terrible smell in the bathroom through the night (strong urine smell) smell wasn't as bad during the day. Toilet facilities in the hotel communal areas weren't the best, they also had the terrible smell in them and not very clean.

Perfect location with good standards.

Food was food, the hotel was extremely near the beach. You could have both pool and sea in half a minute. The location is perfect as you are near all the main shops, food of protaras and the best sea(fig tree). The receptionists were professional and try to help on all the residents requirements. There is a lot of space for pool sundbeds just dont be too late. The beds were very good

On the half board, they didn't provide neither plain water or orange juice which i found unacceptable.

Silver Sands is in a perfect location. On the strip for the nightlife, shops, restaurants, bars etc and it's on the gorgeous Sunrise beach. You can't go wrong. Ok the hotel isn't new and does need attention in places but the price and especially the location make up for that.

This is not a five-star hotel, but it offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The room was cleaned every day, which was very convenient. The view from the terrace was beautiful and definitely one of the best parts of the stay. The staff was polite and generally helpful.

The bed was not very comfortable, and I had trouble sleeping well. Breakfast was exactly the same every day, with no variety, which is disappointing for guests staying several days.

Although the staff is friendly, I had money go missing from my room. The reception was polite, but it’s obviously impossible to determine which staff member took the money. I strongly suggest that all guests use the safe.

Location is excellent, staff was very friendly. Breakfast and dinner were really good with plenty of options for everyone. Our room had an amazing view looking at the sea. Fridge in the room was really helpful to keep our drinks cold. Beds also very comfy and double glazed windows for peaceful naps.

Only two elevators available so there was always some delay to get to your floor. Some corridors had a stuffy smell, i suppose is due to the carpet.

Bad smell of curtains in the room and bad smell of carpet in the corridor of the 3rd floor. Overall, the room needed renovation. This was our 2nd stay in this hotel and we were not satisfied this time.

The location is a prime. Staff was also very kind to upgrade our room for a lesser cost.

2025 and they still require daily payment for wifi. (Fortunately most people have 5G) . Also, It was the champions league final and we could not watch it anywhere in the hotel.

This is an amazing hotel, offering full hospitality services. It is located right on the best beach of Protaras Cyprus. The reception desk is served by the most kind and helpfull personel.

Excellent location but very average hotel

Excellent location on beach front and short walk to main strip with plenty of restaurants and shops.

Room a bit tired, bathroom tiling black in places and needs re-grouting. Shower not high enough, had to bend down to get underneath it to wash hair. Hairdryer pretty rubbish. Not enough plug sockets for 2 people, only one next to one side of bed and one next to TV. Asked hotel for extension lead but they didn't have any so had to buy one. Pool bar staff a little rude and unfriendly particularly as we were paying guests and not all inclusive. This was in stark contest to local bars and restaurants where we found all the staff to be extremely attentive and friendly. Rooms cleaned every day but towels not replaced regularly and when they were only one clean towel was provided. Used coffee cup only replaced on one day and replacement milk supply very hit and miss. After visiting a friends room that had sea view, it was clear that these rooms are much higher standard in terms of decor and these are the ones they show on their website so don't expect anywhere near this standard for the side sea view rooms.

Location of the hotel and access to beach and staff that is super nice and helpful.

The hotel lifts, out of two lifts only one was working! You have to use stairs with your bags after checking in/out, or you can wait for a long time for the lift to come. Same goes if you wanna go to the restaurant, beach or the pool that is located on -2 level. WiFi isn’t for free and you have to pay if you wanna use it and not more than 2 devices.

Flies in the restaurant area, bad quality of food no cups for coffee or glasses during breakfast for a long period of time. The room was dirty, the maids came at 17:00 in the afternoon to clean, and they forgot to put toilet paper and towels for the floor and hands. the sheets felt like they were supposed to be thrown away 5 years ago.

I did like the location

I did not like the service. The stuff was not professional, and we had a hard time with communication. The room was very disorginised and the beds were very uncomfortable. We booked a double bed, and they gave us two singles.

Location of the hotel is perfect, the staff is really friendly and the rooms are spacious enough. Food is okay, however, it should be taken into consideration that this is a 3 star hotel, so do not expect Michelin star quality (but I emphasize that food is indeed really good and various).

Cleanliness of the rooms is good, however, hallways could do some furnishing (for example, carpets are dirty). There is a place for phone charger only on one side of the bed, so the other person has to charge the phone at the dresser side. Besides that, no complaints about the room.
