Bear Walk - 3 B/R ea with own Bath - Close to downtown Gatlinburg / Ski Lodge

Loved the property Seen a few bears Definitely would stay again

This cabin was beautiful and in the perfect location. The cabin is close enough to town, but up in the mountains close to Ober Gatlinburg. The cabin had everything we could possibly need. The owner checked in to make sure we was happy and to see us we needed anything. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for the perfect 3 bedroom 3 bath cabin in the mountains!

Beautiful decorated mountain cabin. The main floor is a good size. The bedrooms are large in size. It wonderful having a bathroom with each bedroom. We seen Bears everyday. This area seems to be a popular area for some. You really do need to keep vehicles locked. We had just gotten home vehicle was still unlocked and bear comes up and opened back door up. Thank goodness my Son got it distracted and away from the vehicle. Great week in Gatlinburg in this cabin.

At least in winter, this house is not private, at all. The hot tub that we were SO looking forward to is on the front porch and overlooks....other houses - lots of other houses. We were very disappointed also that the houses in the area are so close together - actually on top of each other. From the pictures taken in Summer, with trees abloom, the house looks private. But, if you're like us and were looking for a quiet getaway including solitude, this isn't it. House wise, this one needs some tlc. We just replaced our own hot tub cover this year - the one at this house can't even be opened nor closed with just one person, the top is so ragged. Pieces of the top were floating in the hot tub when we got there. Also, although we took the owners advice and showered upon entering, the hot tub was unusable after 3 days. No chemicals were given to treat so that's what happens. Christmas decorations abound inside as do light switches! Suggest replacing the adorable bear switches with some that are more user friendly- very difficult to find the switch in the dark. The one in the kitchen with acorns is almost impossible to turn on. They sure are cute though. Bedrooms were fine as was bedding. We found them very comfortable. And, although there are balconies everywhere, each just had one chair, not table and no place for a second person. Some little small tables and 2 chairs would have been nice. Front porch plastic adirondack chairs aren't particularly comfortable. The neighbors have gorgeous wooden rockers we drooled over. For the price, we feel this house could have been in better shape. Cleaning wise, the cleaners missed the beer bottles left by previous customers (they were by the pile of toys/games in the living room). The only toilet paper was what was left on the end of the roll in each bathroom (actually, one bathroom had an extra roll on the back of the toilet, but that was it). Start to fill the heart shaped tub upstairs early. It's a great large tub and will empty the water heater but there's still plenty of warmth to the water. No one else can shower though until the water heater gets back up to speed. Pool table cues are missing tips. And, although the house has no part of this next comment, it should be noted: Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge are NOT particularly interested in avoiding covid. No masks. We actually left the area early. Owners were great about getting back to us. Carbon monoxide reader was beeping and they helped.
